Per ESPN, Red Sox/Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball averaged 2,175,000 viewers across ESPN and ESPN2. "Viewership for the telecasts was up 11 percent from the same matchup last year and up 24 percent from last season's Yankees vs. Red Sox three-game average."

If the league had any sort of a backbone, they'd make the Blue Jays play in the USA until the Canadian government gets their shite together, including potential playoff games.

Tony LaRussa intentionally walked Jose Ramirez with an 0-1 count in today's game that the White Sox lost 4-1

So can my Reds hold the Yankees to under 30 runs this series? The Yankees are resting Aaron Judge because they can . If we can take one, I will be ecstatic like when Aggie beat Bama. But I'm not holding my breath. Worst ERA and one of the worst offenses in the MLB. But hey, at least we won the series against the Rays; that's gotta count for something.

Judge has played
1/2 in Pittsburgh
2/4 in Boston
Now missing game 1 here, there must be a hidden injury somewhere

I think he missed Game 3 at Cleveland, and Game 1 vs the Red Sox. I believe that he played both at Pitt, and 3 out of 4 against Boston. But I do wonder if there might be a hidden injury in there. I wonder if he shouldn't skip the All-star game.

The Rangers have had Josh Smith as lead off batter lately. Dude gets on base.

Just paid off when he hit a double to start the game, and Simien followed with a homer.

I was listening to the Reds broadcast (I live in the Reds market), and they said that it looked painful; they mentioned Jermaine Dye and Christian Yelich. I don't think it's gonna be THAT bad, though (I think those were just below the knee), but those guys on the broadcast were audibly cringed by the play.
