I don't think it's right to relish in her suffering either. My mother used to say that God doesn't sleep. I do find the situation pretty ironic though. And I know damn sure she wouldn't give two shits if it were a conservative athlete in her situation instead of her. So my heart doesn't bleed for her. But hopefully she comes home safe and sooner rather than later.

Criticize the US and you hate it? Silly. Is not the idea behind “Make America Great Again” that America isn’t great?
Also, that’s not a straw man. The argument made is that she shouldn’t complain about racism or oppression because those things are only perceived and are worse in other countries. So should I not criticize anything, ever, if they’re worse in another country?

When I read what he wrote I took it to mean that we’re not racist at all as compared to other countries. Otherwise he’s just saying that Americans aren’t racist all? Like, zero racism?
