You know that America is the major cause for that squalor right?
You also know that America having the world's reserve currency is the key to our financial dominance right?
You further understand that this meeting was partly to create a basket of currencies that AREN'T the US dollar in order to subvert the system by which we benefit and they don't?

Every empire has an end. The typical run is around 200 years. I just hope that the landing is soft. Thank God geography is on our side (Pacific and Atlantic Oceans).

that graph proves my point though. canada is below china, india, brazil. no way they should be apart of a 'top 7' in terms of relevance.

I watched an interesting YouTube video about China's growing presence and influence in Africa.
China has loaned African countries huge loans that some aren't able to pay back. They are building a port in Africa.
We need to pay attention.

And the thing about BRICS is they don't give AF about climate change. So climate change legislation will not hamper their production.

Yep. China is currently building 43 new coal power plants and 6 new nuclear power plants. They also are on pace to be the world’s largest oil refiner by 2030.

I just can figure out why especially China does not realize that freedom and property rights are the key to innovation and a productive society?

Control and centralized power. Freedom and individual rights conflict with their model. To their credit, their economy has been growing by leaps and bounds, aided by globalization and Western corporate policies that follow the guidance and sellout by our own government. China believes it has found the right balance of control and market and that it is the model for the future.

More disturbing...our political leaders, especially Democrats and GOPe, admire them. Our politicos usually do so quietly but sometimes openly they make their desires of emulation known.

We should celebrate the diversity of BRICS. The G7 is dominated by Euro ancestry CiS gendered straight white men. It should be condemned.

I still remember when we were swinging our dick around, trying to threaten India to further frick up their economy, in order to virtue signal against Russia. For an international virtue signal, we demanded India sacrifice their already struggling populace. Smh.

Pointing out perhaps the combined GDP of those 3.2B is 2/3rds that of the 0.78B? Meaning the G7 GDP per capita is about 6X that of its BRICS counterpart? Nah, you won't see that from the OT

It’s funny until you understand a twin deficit economy based on energy, materials and labor from those plebeian countries can’t sustain itself without foreign capital flows. The one thing you can do to frick up your gravy train is weaponizing your currency and we have signaled to the world we’re more than willing.

ETA: don’t even get me started on GDP numbers from financialized countries

I just watched one last night on Netflix regarding China’s “investment” in Brazil and it makes their African infrastructure investments look like Monopoly money. Think Amazon rainforest for potential access to a treasure trove of pharmaceuticals and rare earth materials, deforestation of said rainforest for millions of additional acreage of arable land for swine, beef, and soybeans, and access to Atlantic Ocean ports of call.

Here is a video of a model train factory in China. Something that labor intensive cannot be made in the US at a price people will pay. Even made in China those locomotives are over $300.
