If LSU hadn't handed them 5 runs in an inning on a passed ball by McManus in game 1, their season probably stays in the shitter and LSU makes it to Omaha. I honestly think LSU would've played a three run series against Ole Miss in the Super regional very closely and probably would've won.

I do not think it was coachspeak when CJJ tabbed OM as best team we had played up to that point. I never heard him say that about anyone else who beat us before that or after that for that matter.

I would have figured after Coastal Carolina, Stony Brook, and Florida State that people would realize that all that matters is who gets hot in June. Nothing that happened in February-May matters.

I'm sure at the time you guys were all saying it was no big deal to get swept by the last team in the division at home

Ole Miss good baw.
Watched them sweep us at The Box and couldn’t figure out why they’d been losing all season.

Unfortunately no, their pitching would have shut LSU down

I thought so too, but man its hard to say that now

You weren’t objective. It was very easy to say, then, that Ole Miss would have destroyed us in two games. They had a much better roster, and they were red hot. It was a mercy that USM eliminated us. It saved us the embarrassment of getting swept (again) by Ole Miss at the Box.

People melted when we lost series to Auburn, A&M, and got swept by Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Ole Miss record is because of early season struggles.

They are a much better team currently than their record indicates.

That's the thing about baseball and "letting me get hot"

Yep. Ranked #1 for awhile for a reason. Had a slump. Got hot at the end.
