Problem is a lot of what you are seeing is from the conservative women….
RvW needed to be overturned. However, it’s a huge win for democrats at the polls. Because, nobody is a single issue voter quite like a white middle class woman. And these women that are actually conservative across the board, become emotional pretzels when they hear about “abortion becoming illegal”. Doesn’t matter that isn’t what happened. That’s what they hear and emotions take over, and good luck brining an emotional woman back to reality

It’ll turn into voting for freedoms (Democrats ) vs handmaids tale society ( republicans).
*this isn’t how I feel, but how the media will portray the two parties to get people to emotionally vote *

It won’t even be a talking point in another month. Every time a suburban white woman has to spend $100 to fill up her Tahoe, and can’t get organic oat milk at the super market is way more of a needle mover for these women compared to not being allowed to get a procedure they weren’t getting in the first place.

It’s an extremely controversial issue that draws out the crazies on both sides but it doesn’t move the polls. If it were a winning issue at the polls in purple areas, politicians would run on it. They stay a mile away from it.

In fairness to them, while the ruling in Dobbs doesn’t make abortion illegal, in the context of discussing “conservative women”, this ruling did de facto make abortion illegal in most of the states those women live in. For a woman living in south Louisiana, the nearest state with legal abortion will be what, Illinois? New Mexico?
Not exactly a “few hour drive” like I’ve seen thrown around a few times

Agreed. Republicans can never get out of their own way.
They were going to absolutely cruise to victories in 2022 and 2024.
Now Dems maintain both houses in 2022 and a presidential election that should have been a landslide will be even.

I completely disagree.
Women who put abortion at the top of their list of voting issues will hardly ever vote conservative. The timing of this will work out ok. Once this settles down in a week or two, there will be a good 3-4 months of the continued realization that we're in the middle of an economic shite storm and the left is holding the bag.

Yeah, this was the only shot they have at energizing their base and pulling some of those white suburan women into their fold at the polls. They literally have nothing else to run on. Make no mistake, the DNC loves this decision. However, I don't think it's going to do anywhere near enough at the polls to save them. They're about to get slaughtered in mid-terms.
