Big Money Republican Donors Lining Up Behind DeSantis

As Ron DeSantis gears up for a likely 2024 White House bid — with or without Donald Trump in the race — the Florida governor is winning over some of the former president’s biggest benefactors.
DeSantis has attracted the attention of some of the nation’s wealthiest Republican donors, including many who were key financiers of Trump’s reelection bid or backers of high profile Republican candidates and causes, according to POLITICO analysis of campaign finance data.
Though many donors are focused on November, when the governor is up for reelection, DeSantis’ fundraising signals that he is both a viable 2024 candidate who may not need the former president’s backing and one who is sapping some financial support from Trump.

These nitwits want to pit these two against each other because that’s the only chance to defeat either.
The nomination is Trump’s if he wants it. And I sure don’t see any sign of him not running.

I voted for Trump twice and would happily vote for him again, but there is nothing wrong with looking at other candidates - especially with Trump non-committal on whether he will run again.
I do not believe this will turn into a Trump vs. DeSantis.

Ron may indeed be stealing all of the billionaire backers of Trump. But he crawled on this hilltop on Trump's coattails making a campaign commercial of borderline Trump adoration doing it.

I do not know what DeSantis will do. But a year ago he said if Trump runs he will not.
