Is there an updated diagram of this building(s) including how what looks like a connector between 2 buildings fits in floor plan (just looking at roof - not as high or as wide to back as building where the killer entered classrooms). I have only seen the one they put out day of shooting to press there. It’s seems a little off from this pic. Also read some other cops including the district police chief entered from the opposite side.

I just don't know what to say or think about this whole thing any more. Absolutely none of what these cops did makes any sense. No officers I know are trained to react that way. I can say with 100% certainty if equipped like they are, you go in. There were two doors on either end because the classrooms joined. You flank the guy. Its not rocket science. This shite just doesn't add up

Apparently the Chief was giving orders for minor things inside but denied that he was in charge of the actual response or decision to move on the shooter. The cops are claiming they didn’t have clear orders and didn’t know who was in charge. Pathetic

I'm not a cop, but if you have an active shooter inside a school, do you need a lot of orders to know to act? I'm sure there is some coordination to who is where so you don't shoot each other, but beyond that, it appears they just stood in hallways waiting for someone to radio in a comment?

Cowards, every single one of them. No orders are needed in that situation.
Go in. Period. There really is no other possible response to a live shooter in a school. Engage the shooter. That’s it.
Any excuses just make the whole lot of them seem worse.

When the entire surveillance video comes out, and it looks like it will because media has apparently already seen it, I cannot imagine the rage those parents will feel as they watch Chief Doolittle fumble with keys and chat on his cellphone for over an hour.
The early story was that the Chief was waiting on keys to enter the classrooms. Now it’s being reported that they never even tried the doorknobs of the classrooms, they may not have been locked anyway. But also that the keys were obtained very early in the process and that Arredondo then spent time trying the keys on *other* classroom doors, supposedly trying to locate a master key that would open all the doors. To me that sounds like he was looking for busy work that would keep him occupied OUT of the line of fire.

As far as I’m concerned every single one of them forfeited their right to carry a firearm ever again. If they weren’t going to use their guns in that situation then clearly there’s no reason for them to carry in any situation.
