The real issue nobody wants to discuss…

Gas prices are a direct reflection of Biden shutting down 11 refineries in his first year. Shell Convent being 1 of them. We have plenty oil to refine but cannot get gas/diesel out fast enough. Had those refineries not been shut down we would have more availability and prices go down. They wanted to go all in on going green and not make a slow transition. It’s killing us. Just remember that in November and in 2024.

High gas prices were planned, no doubt. They want this.

All planned for sure. Biden and his policies certainly hurt what is going on but its ESG which is the main problem!

You are 100% correct. It is more the inability to make fuel than pump oil at this time. Thee is no short term fix. No company is going to build a new refinery with the insane regulations and green attitude of big government. We are screwed.

Please tell me how Biden Shut Down 11 refineries. I know he did the pipelines construction and stopped lease sales. But exactly how did he sd refineries. I don't want to be in a conversation and say this and some one ask me how. I have nothing. A link will be fine.
I see this article but nothing about refineries
Biden SD Ketone and release rom Stategic reserves
There is this about refineries sd due to rules already in place for a while just catching up

I heard Convent was reopening as bio diesel.

If there were some tough decisions around investment then, given the environment, they punted. See Exxon's recent statement on what his Administration could do to help O&G producers.
Please tell me how Biden Shut Down 11 refineries.

47% won't for sure. Or the "81 million".

The strict Covid restrictions placed on the citizens by the government (federal, state, and local) caused a dramatic decrease in fuel usage. This caused oil to actually go negative and made it impossible to operate a refinery without a loss.
Many of the smaller refineries had to shutdown and never started back up. They may with the current price of gas but it will take time.

I see the comment about taking time to restart. It also takes investment. Investment isn’t available due to ESG. Therefore, no gas.
Who knows? In 100 years we may look back and say this saved the planet. I doubt it, but this is part of that movement. This post isn’t political — I’m not taking sides. But this “pain at the pump” is an undeniable part of the process, whether this movement is legitimate or not.

They want this.

You joke but they are already setting everyone for the midterms and how the Dems will take seats in the senate.

Gaucho’s right, their plan is to secretly abolish the electoral college, thus ensuring we’ll never see another Republican in office. Wake up sheeple!

They even got the national weather center tampering with weather instruments and expect us to believe its 103 degrees in Fargo, North Dakota right now.
