Lots of LSU peeps out here too. Gotta say being right across from red bar the amount of tipsy women pouring out the back all night is something to behold. . Why are drunk women so loud?

It's like what Target would be like if they sold alcohol.

Bonus is getting to watch people with 2WD vehicles getting stuck in the sand. Even the sheriff and the tow truck got stuck tonight trying to get a 2WD Silverado free.

Went to the farmers market there this weekend. The pretentious douche bag level was off the charts.

Went to Pier Park same weekend. Talk about the other end of the spectrum.

I’d love to find a middle class place at the beach.

The whole Florida panhandle is just played out to me. There’s so much more world out there for comparable $

Never been so not sure if OP is meant to be funny with his post. But are those the highlights of 30A?

LSU fans
Drunk women leaving bar
Watching cars get stuck in sand

Is OP make a joke and saying 30A sucks bc those are the highlights? I’m confused.

Love 30A.... its big enough to spread out and not feel "overwelmed"....also not many places where you can feel safe letting your kid ride a bike or golf cart these days without thinking about if something will happen to them

I can’t help but point out that the first photo you posted is a couple of dumpsters and a parking lot.

We are down in Navarre right now staying on the pier for the week. We already have been recommended the slippery mermaid for sushi. What are the other places we need to check out?

Was there this past week and had a blast. Definitely planning to return later this year.

I love 30a and I do agree that is one of the best beaches in the country (aside from Hawaii of course). I also like to cook on these vacations and we usually bring a cooler from home with chopped up veggies, spices etc. Very relaxing and a good time.

All of that being said, I agree with other posters that it is beginning to price us out. We went to Greece last week and paid 4.5k total for an incredible 5 bedroom house, with a pool, hottub, cabana, outdoor bed, outdoor kitchen, on our own beach, with bright blue water, for a week. The host stocked the house with water, wine and breakfast food.
We used points for flights, and most meals (with tax and tip) were under 9 Euros. On days we rented a car to explore the island, it was 35euros a day. All in all, it was less than a June week on 30a. Which sucks, because I do enjoy 30A - just hard to justify paying that price.

No one thinks it’s a bad spot. People just lol at baws like OP who call it “30A” like it’s some sort of elite vacationing society club.

We are in the 30A camp. We have been making 8-10 trips a year. We are actually looking to buy a place in Rosemary or Alys.

HOWEVER, summertime is extremely crowded. We have been going for Christmas the past few years and it's an awesome time. We also have been staying in Rosemary and not right on the beach. Our kids are young and they love to go to all of the parks in Alys and Rosemary. We don't end up actually going on the beach nearly as much.

I have traveled all over the world. I don't hold any delusions that 30A is the end all be all of vacations spots. However, my wife and I aren't able to take long stretches off of work and there is no place better for us within 4 hours of home.
