The Biden Administration has to do something to distract from the 8.6% inflation. Congrats to all travelers for not having to adhere to the dumb requirements anymore. The "Science" has finally won out.

No. They are going to let that convoy coming up though Mexico in without testing.

Was such a dumb rule. You could theoretically test negative on a Sunday, fly into a new country on Monday, miss your connection and get rebooked to Tuesday.. then be forced to test again on Monday and test positive and get ultra fricked

I wonder how much travel by symptomatic or those who would test positive this actually prevented. I know it deterred a lot of people from booking travel in the first place but I wonder how many people actually made plans then had to change.

Was the dumbest fricking rule ever, especially considering that Canada and Mexico dropped the rule and US land borders didn't have the requirement. I've enjoyed my travel, but having this stupid test requirement in the back of my mind the whole time was a pain in the arse.

I am flying to Toronto in August, does canada still have their entrance requirements of having to have that canadaApp or whatever to upload your results on to?

My wife and I went to Anguilla recently, and we had to show proof of a negative test within 48 hours of departure. Our itinerary was to fly from MSY to MIA, and then MIA to AXA. Our departure from MSY was 6:00 on a Saturday morning. Our connection in MIA was scheduled for 10:50 a.m. My wife got her Covid test on Thursday of that week. I waited until the last minute on Friday.

When we get to the airport on Saturday morning, American Airlines tells us that our flight to MIA is delayed until 8:00 because the crew got in too late the night before (ridiculous). The delay caused us to miss our connection to AXA, the flight to which is offered just once per day.

Although we were able to stay the night in Miami and fly to Anguilla the following day, my wife's negative Covid test from Thursday before the flight had gone stale by that time. We didn't have a car in Miami, so we just bit the bullet and got the Covid test offered at the MIA on-site location - $180.00. Talk about a racket if there ever was one.

I'm so glad this bullshite is done (hopefully for good).

As I sit in Spain with some pdfs of previous tests with dates changed I’m both amazed and saddened by this news. In one respect this was always a dumb arse rule and did nothing so getting rid of it is a no brainer. On the other hand I thought the Biden White House would hold on this so he could always say “We are doing something”

Either way america is totally a hellscape and incapable of making rationale decisions on anything.

I think it's more to let the news get to staff worldwide so there is less conflict with people asking for tests that are not required. Believe me, airlines had a hard time keeping up with various entry requirements.

I just bought 6pk eMed covid test for $185 last week. SMH. This testing should have been abolished months ago.

Just got back from Cancun yesterday, my wife was so worried we would test positive.

This is great news.

After issues last year with this, I refused to travel international this year. Just didn't feel like dealing with it again for awhile.

This is great news.

Your insurance will most likely reimburse you.

I'm sending in my eMed 6pk Covid proof of purchase into my insurance company this weekend for reimbursement.
