I just watched a documentary on Tubi about that doctor in the 80’s and 90’s that had really good success and he was relentlessly attacked by the fda. They never had anything on him and he kept getting indicted, character assassination, etc. our government and pharmaceutical companies are evil to the core. The peptide thing helped a lot of people and it wasn’t dangerous at all. It was Burzynski: Cancer cure cover up

People running that and whenever invented the drug will all be dead within a few weeks.

The patent will be purchased by a Big Pharma and then never see the light of day again.

IMO, we need to be spending more money on cancer research. But this is encouraging for sure.

Heard on radio $11K every 3 weeks for 6 months. Insurance ain't covering trial drugs I assume.
I’m on vedolizumab (for Crohn’s) I get it once every 8 weeks. They bill my insurance $11 or 12k can’t remember, insurance pays about $6k. The pharmaceutical company sends the hospital a debit style card that the hospital uses to pay rest with their own money. Kinda weird.

Doublecutter -
First off, keep on fighting. I will keep you in my thoughts and send positive vibes your way for more good news in the weeks to come.
Second, your treatment plan sounds very similar to what my mother went through about 3-4 years ago. You goddamn right you should get a second opinion. Especially if your current surgeon is a general & not a colorectal surgical specialist.
Specifically this part -
surgery that will require a temporary colonoscopy bag, with a planned reversal surgery about 8 weeks later.
Make sure you ask their thoughts on whether or not 8 weeks is enough time for the tissue to heal &/or become strong enough to take the reversal. The damage the tumor could have done to the colon tissue could compromise the effectiveness of the reconnect procedure.
8 weeks is what they told my mother & she was ready to be done with the bag, so she trusted. We all did. So they went ahead with the reversal. We were back in the ER about a week later because the tissue was not healed enough & the reversal did not take. She had a perforation in the her colon at the connection site causing & internal leak in her bowels & her to become septic. We then had to have an emergency "dis-connect" and she was back with the bag. This is when I finally convinced her to seek out the colorectal surgical specialist (Dr. Byrd - now retired). He was furious when he found out they made the reversal after only 8 weeks. He equated it to trying to sew two pieces of wet paper mache together. He said they should have waited a minimum of 4-6 months. She spent 27 nights in ICU because of that & multiple follow up surgeries relating to abdominal hernias stemming from the surgical trauma that all could have been avoided. She is VERY lucky to still be with us.
I am not telling you this to scare you anymore than you already are. Colon issues are nothing to mess around with. Just sharing our experience & not to second guess yourself when seeking out a second opinion.

Mrservon, my surgeon is a colorectal surgeon.
And thanks for comments about your mother's ordeal.
That surgery is scary and presents many possible side effects that can be life changing. Quality of life changing.
In my mind I would rather risk the possible tumor recurrence than the risks that come with the surgery. And if a recurrence is detected in the future, it should be caught in time to have the surgery.

Word has gotten out there have been cures for many cancers that have been held from the public to keep the current profitable treatments going. What kind of evil is this?

I believe this is correct - the pharmaceutical company behind the new drug pays for all trial expenses. My BIL went through a trial for small cell lung cancer and Bristol-Meyers paid for everything, even his flights/hotels every two weeks to the trial hospital.

The drug has been around awhile, and is like the 5th or 6th PD-1 out there. Great results, but on a very narrow indication.

As soon as someone on the political right comes out and supports this, the media, big pharma, and the rest of DC will do all they can to make sure no one touches it.

I’m in my fifties, and I’ve heard this kind of stuff since I was a kid. This thread proves that it’s pretty widespread information. Evil is a great descriptor, and I have no doubt that Big Pharma and our benevolent government are very capable of it.

I hope you beat it. I lost both my parents to cancer.
I agree with getting a second opinion. I would think that more MRI's would be the best plan of action. Why do surgery if there is nothing there? And I would think an MRI would be cheaper than surgery...
Good luck!
