If it's inactive, why'd she receive anything at all?

So how diligent would the LA County Registrar be if she "voted signing the oath attesting to qualifications and residence"?

Or anyone else who received a CA mail-in ballot who no longer lived in the state (or lived, period)?

Exactly. She didn’t get owned at all. The reply even confirmed that she could vote even though she hasn’t lived there in years.

And of course they’d check the signature and vet the response. Surely they wouldn’t just trust the signature as valid???

Seems to me the ROV just proved her point.

Not her biggest fan, but Lauren is right in this one.

So the system has her inactive yet they still sent out a mail-in ballot to a non-resident. This reeks of incompetence by the LA County Registrar.

... and would only be reactivated if you responded or voted signing the oath ...

And we can be 100% sure that no one would dare sign the oath and vote anyway!! Yeah, total own. Idiot.

Quite the opposite, read it again.

What the Registrar basically said was all she had to do for her vote to be counted was sign the oath that came with her mail-in ballot.

She's been gone for two years, previous mail from them to her has been returned to them, yet they still sent her a ballot and would still accept her vote if she had just signed it and sent it in.

Think about that.

Nope, that would be fraud. Just as the registrar intended. Happened to several of my colleagues from VA in 2020 General Election.
