Body found in remote area of Chef Menteur Highway; NOPD investigating as homicide

The body was reported to police at 7:03 a.m. in the 15200 block of Chef Menteur Highway (map), which is near the Industrial Parkway. Police said foul play is suspected, but they didn't release any additional details such as a manner of death.

Sunday AM at about 430am I was going to 510 from I10 and there were 2 guys walking along the interstate going north. I found it odd people would be out there walking. Nothing around. Found it odd.

I was out that way last week. Literally commented to the guy I was with that this looks like a good place to dump a body.

Like that mix of industrial/rural wasteland. I remember seeing it the first time, when I was down there on Katrina security in 2005, and it was spooky.

I saw that “Body Inside” Skeeter last Friday at approximately 1:00 pm.

They used to go a lot further towards Hwy 11 to do that; I guess gas prices are too damn high.

Personally I would have gone closer to the old Powers Junction at Hwy 11 and Chef. They would never have found it. It's the amateur shite I cannot deal with.
