I always bring cash with me when we go out to eat so I can sneak some on the table when we are leaving

Same here. I treated my in-laws to dinner at a small local place for one of their birthdays and the total bill was close to $100 and he told me he would get the tip. We were leaving when my wife told me we forgot the diaper bag so I went back and saw that he only tipped $5. I shook my head and threw an extra $20.

It's really sad because he probably makes double what I bring in and he hasn't had a mortgage since the early 90's.

Lol - I don’t go to Chili’s anymore bc last time I went (like 10 years ago) the server changed my tip to a higher amount

It's so weird that at some age you still have all of your mental faculties, but for whatever reason just completely forget how to function in an organized society.

I don't understand it

I went to Chili's recently and there were two people working - one server and one chef in the kitchen. The server did a great job, considering she was working all 6-7 tables in the joint.

I saw something on the news that Chili's will start having robots deliver food to tables. Pretty soon there will be Chili's open for lunch and dinner rushes with only one human being working.

Absolutely not. I either don’t tip. Or it’s a buck.

I say this as someone who worked in restaurants age 16-26
