I get that gas prices are high but just how big a piece of your budget is fuel? awful lot of bitching on here about it but I don't see it as that big of a deal

I’ll continue to drive my 13mpg behemoth until the wheels fall off. I can eat the price. Seeing sad democrats paying 4-5 bucks in change makes me giddy inside.

I hope it breaks their souls

gas is about $1.05 a liter here so about $4 a gallon. It got up to ~$4.65 a gallon right a few months ago but came back down pretty quick.

Still seems rough for me to pay that much for gas but thankfully I only use about a gallon a week.

What do you mean by “breaking point”? Are you saying a point where you quit your job because it’s too expensive to go? Take up arms and storm the White House? Alter your daily driving?
You have to work. There are very little, if any at all, situations where not having a job makes it better. No one is storming the capital. I have made adjustments to my every day travel and stopped driving as much on weekend though.
The only real thing that any of us can do is vote and encourage others to vote red.

Usually longer for me. It's been two years and five months since I've had my last oil change and I still got 1,200 miles to go before my 5,000 mile oil change rolls around. Before I retired 10 years ago I was putting over 2,000 miles a month on my truck just to get to work and back. I'm glad those days are over.

Hey flyboy, not everybody is working with an Airline pilots income so your perspective is likely skewed.

The price of gas you put in your car is just a small part of the punishment. Every product's price is affected by higher manufacturing, raw materials, and transportation costs.

The fact that this bullshite is basically self-inflicted, and unnecessary, as a result of bumbling idiots in charge with a green agenda is the real kicker.

Well the dead ones don't drive, and the fictional ones don't either, so I don't really see that it matters much to them.

There is really zero breaking point. If you need
Your vehicle you will pay the price to drive it. I’m with you 78. I rarely leave house.

$10 a gallon would make me consider my transportation options hard.

You're just demonstrating your ignorance if you are running oil in your engine that long.

The additive package and other parts of the oils chemistry degrade over time, regardless of miles.

Change your oil annually, regardless of miles.

Basically, when the fuel bill exceeds the note, insurance AND fuel for a car, ill buy a car and start only driving the truck when I need to drive the truck. Getting close, that point is about 5.60 a gallon diesel for me.
