Do you lock your bedroom door at night?

You know, to keep out evil?
Basically, axe murders and knife wielding psychopaths.
Cause that's when that come for you... at night.

You have to be another level of paranoid to do something like that

No but when I was staying at my Grandparents house (alone) I swapped door knobs between a bedroom door & hall door do I could lock the hallway
It was a long hall on the other side of the house, creeped all the grandkids out

Subtle “I have locking doorknobs” brag

Friend of mine bought a house with deadbolt locks on the outside of all the bedrooms. It was a real WTF moment in the walkthrough he said.

My bedroom door doesn't have a lock on it.

Oh wow, that's creepy. Probably enough to keep me from buying.

Oh, I almost forgot. When my kids were toddlers and wanted to come in my room every night I switched the knob so I could lock them IN their room.

Sometimes yes. I can get pretty paranoid though. If I had kids I wouldn’t do that though, one extra step in getting to their room seems like a bad idea

Yes. I don't want you walking in on me and your mom...

With three six foot windows in the bedroom, what's the use of locking the door?

Our bedroom has a door latch lock on it. It’s a pretty expensive apartment building and not the standard. I wonder what the person living here preciously was thinking. Maybe making sure the kids didn’t walk in on the parents “wrestling”.

TBH many of the houses I lived in didn't have locks. My current one has key locks.

If my wife and kids aren't home I do, but that's because I'm a really heavy sleeper. Somebody could rob me blind, but they aren't killing me in my sleep.

No. Wtf. Do you live in Haiti?

Well, that's a given.

Yes and no.
I have the French doors that lead outside locked, but not the other that leads to the hall.

Yes I do but that’s just paranoia from my line of work and where I live.
