All I can offer is I have it on my boat and motorcycle, I have not filed any claims.

Have auto through them. They gave us an amazing deal for top end coverage when my wife and I got married. Just got our renewal and they went up $150 for the next six month period. I technically also have homeowners through Progressive but with a different underwriter and an umbrella policy that is also underwritten by another carrier.
I’ve bounced back and forth between Progressive and GEICO for the last decade. I typically stick for 2-3 cycles and then flip to the other when the rate differential is worth the hassle.

Opinions please

My only complaint is I had to drive 80 miles to the nearest office to turn in my title and receive a check.

I got my windshield replaced and it was super easy to do with the app.
Thats about all I got, it needs to be replaced again but Ill wait until the I12 construction is done.

Had it years ago. Was hit by a drunk driver while parked in my car. Driver was driving on a suspended license for a prior DUI, and was specifically excluded on the policy for the car she was driving. We both had progressive. They tried to force me to pay me deductible to release the car from my mechanic. I refused to return the rental until they covered the full cost of repairs, and rental. Had the rental for another 3 days.
At renewal, my rates went up around 20%, no marks on my insurance and agent showed my policy didn’t pay anything; yet the policy still went up

Had them, one accident they paid within. They did declare my vehicle a total loss only because I cracked the radiator

I have them on my boat and cars. I had a motorcycle claim that was a hit and run and they paid for my bike, gear and medical with little work from me. The adjuster did ask to see the gear I was wearing, it was an expensive claim. When he saw it he thanked me for wearing quality gear and cut me a check for full retail of my gear. I was wearing over a grand in gear. The adjuster came to me, but probably because he was coming to to town to look at the bike. He authorized the repairs no problem.
No rate increases.

I've had them for 3 ir 4 years. 18 months ago I had someone short stop in front of me but I was able to stop before hitting him. The guy immediately jumped out of his car and ran up to me asking if I had insurance. I got out and looked at his rear bumper and he had several dents, my front bumper didn't have a mark on it. Dallas police don't come out for minor stuff so I took photos and told Progressive what happened. They sent an adjuster to look at my bumper who agreed with me, no marks, and in the end paid the guys claim and jacked my rates up.

Had them in Michigan. Rates sucked but were far better than everyone else. Something bad happens and you may be in for a nightmare but I had no issues.

Don’t know but I’m about to get quotes from different places and Progressive will be 1 of them probably. Geico is jacking mine up almost 20%. No wrecks, no tickets, completely clean. I guess they are all doing it, but I have to find out.

This shows that you lack a basic understanding of how insurance works . Yes both you and the other driver may have the same carrier, however it’s treated as two completely different claims evaluated on their own merits. If the other driver did not have coverage at the time of loss , you would have to go through your own collision in which the deductible always applies. That is not the insurance companies fault, that is the deductible that you selected.
As far as you refusing to return the rental, the insurance company does not give 2 shits how long you keep it. They will put the last day they are covering in the system, and then you can fight with the rental car company about the balance for any days you keep the rental.

Shows your lack of reading comprehension.
Guess you missed the part about my policy didn’t pay anything. Had an agent and a broker pull the loss run when I went to renew and neither showed a payment.
The other driver had insurance, just because an unauthorized driver was driving the vehicle does not get the insurance out from covering my damages. Car repairs and rental were paid in full, no out of pocket costs, and moved my policy to MetLife (now Farmers) w no issues since

There is a very big difference from what you initially said (excluded driver) to what you just said (unauthorized driver).
If they are excluded, the insurance isn’t paying a dime out of that policy. Straight denial. You were more than likely hit by an unlisted driver

I rotate auto insurance every 3-4 years because of the rate hikes. I haven't had a ticket in 15 years and 1 wreck during that span and it seems the 1st year increase is always minor, second year just a tad bit more but by the 3rd and 4th year you realize you're paying 50-75 more a month than your first 6 months.

Been with them 15ish years.
My truck was stolen twice and I left the keys in it both times. No rate increase to speak of. Always trying to check rates with other providers and nobody is ever really close.

They do a good job for their customers.
They may be a headache for the people that you hit, though.

We have both vehicles, boat, and home (ASI) insured through Progressive. There was an issue in 2012 where I was clearly not at fault in an accident, but they refused to believe me or fight for me. To them I was automatically at fault because I was turning left and struck a vehicle, and they completely dismissed the fact that the other driver was flying down the shoulder of a 4 lane road. Decided to just cut my losses since it didn't make my insurance go up. Granted that was 10 years ago...
Other than that, they've been the least expensive I could find and they were not terrible during my Hurricane Ida claim.
