re: Let’s address the elephant in the room: the conspiracy folks

For the conspiracy folks, what is the logic behind your “false flag” theory?
I don’t believe this was a conspiracy. But conspiracies originate from lack of clear or trusted facts combined with a series of errors. All combined, the choice is either planned conspiracy or mind boggling incompetence/coincidences (in the mind of the conspiracy believer). If we ever got the true facts of an event AND if we trusted the source of those facts then conspiracy theories would die. The mainstream media has proven to be untrustworthy.

Progs melted over the "Benghazi conspiracy"
When people like and mislead, you have every right to suspect cover up.
I trust random people on the street more than I trust elected officials or bureaucrats.

The smart thing to do is have an open mind. Starting at the "conspiracy folks are dumb" is really dumb.
I agree, but you saw here people who declared this tragedy a false flag before the smoke had settled.
If there is evidence that something like this was orchestrated then bring it on, but I haven’t seen any evidence. Have you?

I’m just asking for a thoughtful response to this question. If there is one, I’d appreciate it.
a federal agency has to be "asked" to assist the local yokels, common sense does not factor in here, let's say the feds intervened and put an immediate stop to the situation without the local's permission, they would face pretty harsh discipline, possible termination, whoever their boss is would certainly be demoted/canned

This one? No. It appears to be purely incompetence.
Some others, yes. Govt officials routinely lie about their involvement.

I just wanted to address it head on.

Have chided folks on here for it but anyone believing the Alex Jones stuff about crisis actors at sandy hook is straight delusional
I do believe that political parties are only too happy to see events unfold to help their agendas though.
Sorta like Beto seizing the opp to confront Abbott in front of cameras, then having his base eat that shite up like shite on candy

He's simply an entertainer that way too many people look to with seriousness.
Kinda like Rush Limbaugh and The View.

I don’t think it was planned but I’ll always be stunned how the alphabet agencies let shite like this slip through the cracks.
Look at the new info out of Buffalo today, a "retired" FBI agent was in frequent contact with the Supermarket shooter and was in a discord where the guy announced what he was doing 30 minutes prior to the shooting taking place
How are these "elite" agencies always connected in this nonsense but can never prevent it???

So far, no,
We agree.
I’m not defending the govt. Yes they lie.
But yelling conspiracy every time there’s an incident only masks the real conspiracies. It’s like the boy that cried wolf.

The existence of prior conspiracies does not prove all government malfeasances are conspiracies, nor does evidence of pure incompetence preclude the possibilities of conspiracies in other instances.
In other words, there are times when the government is incompetent and there are times when they are totally malicious. And sometimes they’re somewhere in between.
But you still have to look at the evidence on a case by case basis.

I dont think you know what elephant in the room means
quote:
The expression “the elephant in the room” (or "the elephant in the living room") is a metaphorical idiom in English for an important or enormous topic, question, or controversial issue that is obvious or that everyone knows about but no one mentions or wants to discuss
So the definition you provided even contradicts what you're trying to get at, because......
quote:
The constant insinuation in each of these threads that this was somehow some sort of “false flag” but never getting into the nitty gritty of the logic behind such theories is an example of an “elephant in the room”
.....this is not happening. I have seen maybe one or two posts per thread implying such nonsense.
.01% of people on this board implying such a thing does not equate to an elephant in the room. Just ignore them like the rest of us, as it has been otherwise worthwhile discussion.

Be that as it may, if there was a malicious plot by the Federal government involved to orchestrate this, why not call Border Patrol and tell them to not respond to the Uvalde calls for assistance?
Let me play your game.
IF this was planned, they would only need to control the guy in charge on the ground. Anyone that shows up will be under his command. If he tells them to stand down then they are useless in that situation.
It is much easier to control one individual covertly than to justify an order to a department not to respond to a call for assistance.
As to why someone would do such a horrible thing, really?....

No shite, sherlock. Brilliant!
What it does is make rational people distrust official sources.

"Conspiracies" are the new prog buzzword.
Doesn't matter if its a handful of people, suddenly its the most important thing in the world.

The same Texas players who orchestrated Jade Helm and took our weapons several years ago is in on this operation. They're pretty good at what they do.

My question as to the “why” refers to why would the local police chief (the one who put a pause on the assault of the gunman) be in on the conspiracy? Does he strike you as someone who would be on the take with this White House?
Edit: It looks like Uvalde County went Trump in both 2016 and 2020, in case anyone is wondering the political dynamics in the county.
