Bring back the two parent Christian household is the only answer

The left has played the long game in destroying such households and this is 100% a direct result of that

Get people that can pass whatever mandatory psychological tests necessary and train them as marksmen to gear up in hot arse full body armor and sit, and stand and pick their noses outside the only entrance of the school during class hours 5 days a week at every elementary, middle and high school in the country. Problem finding tens of thousands of people to do this....? Get the government to fund it and give each guard recurrent training, testing and a donation bucket that great American citizens can use to give them extra take home pay.

I love the absolute moronic idea to train teachers firearm combat LOL. Gun weirdo’s will do anything to avoid the actual root issue.

Our teachers are underpaid, understaffed, and don’t even have adequate budgets to provide themselves with rulers and staplers yet we expect them to become proficient with a firearm in a life or death situation while protecting 20+ kids.

Reopen forced institutionalization insane asylums and leave those who are not in touch with reality there as long as it takes... Closing them over 3 decades caused most of this.

Parents and Doctors.

Parents....raise kids right, with morals and ethics. Monitor their video games, and music. Don't allow violent video games ! Don't allow hard core violent music ! Both of those things work on the unconscious and alter one's psyche.

Doctors....do your jobs and quit relying on drugs/pills as a solution to everything, especially where kids are involved !
If a kid has a mental issue, refer them to counselors, psychiatrists, or psychologists BEFORE you take the easy way out and just dope them up !

We can't. We've chosen to live like barbarians, so we may as well either get used to these barbaric acts, or leave.

We've always had the guns yet only averaged 1-2 mass shootings a year until the 90s. We're already at 10 this year and it's still May. So stop wasting political capital on the inanimate objects.

I would put the legal age to purchase a gun in the 25-30 range. The majority of mass shooting suspects are sub 25. Full comprehensive background checks. Massive penalties for anyone holding or supplying someone with a weapon that can't legally own one.

A of of the issues we have today stem from the decline of a strong, 2 parent family. We have also taken God out of everything. The kids and even a lot of adults have become social media zombies, the media lies to us at every turn. The world has become a cesspool and when that happens, this is the kind of shite you get.

First, I think teenage boys of that age are already pretty unstable to begin with just with all the hormones' raging and what not. Let's face it, most of us did stupid shite at that age. This kid had to be a disturbed individual on top of that.

So, it think the first step is getting some sort of mental health screening or something to that affect and put that into the curriculum for all high schoolers. This kid probably would've raised some red flags.

Next step is the access to the weapons. Why not raise the age to purchase a weapon like this to 21. Include a extended wait time. Limit the amount of ammo that can be purchased for this age group, etc. Special exemptions may be granted to those who've enlisted. This is not all guns either, just guns like the AR-15. I think traditional hunting rifles and handguns could be exempted.

School security needs to be beefed up. All exterior doors should be locked at all times. School resources officers need to be trained and have clearance for this type of work. The school resource officer we had when I was in High School was nothing more than a mascot trying to sniff out weed.

I don't think this will stop school shootings but, certainly it would help to prevent these mass casualty events.

Realistically, nobody wants to fix it. People are too worried about themselves, their own rights and interpretations of laws and rules. They don’t care about this until it kills one of their own.

What I want to discuss is how we can change society to where we don’t breed people like this?

You can have 349,999,999 perfect citizens and 1 loose wire and a shooting will happen. There’s too many people and too many guns to prevent them. You’re going to have nutcases with guns and bad intentions.

The best we can do is focus on our own safety as individuals and any facilities we are in charge of protecting. But if anyone wants one of us dead and is willing to accept the consequences, there’s really nothing we can do. We’re all vulnerable.

Keeping the school doors locked seems like a good start.

We need to normalize and dramatically improve mental healthcare from a young age. And that should not cost an arm and a leg to do. We have to address these things at the cause and get people the help they need early when signs are identified. I’m not just taking about shoving pills down their mouth either, that causes a whole different set of circumstances. Holistic and affordable healthcare solutions needs to be widely and easily available.

It’s also WAYYYY too easy to get a firearm. Licensing and training, higher costs will price out some of the problematic types from accessing them. Of course we’ll never fully solve it, but we can mitigate.

This will naturally get hate which I’ll never understand. I’m not suggesting confiscating everyone’s guns ... I’m saying they should be registered and more stringent qualifications to own one in the first place. Even renewals of that periodically - mental health issues could result, maybe from from a traumatic event, AFTER a person acquires weapons and was found to be perfectly normal at the time. To help with the issue of unregistered weapons, buyback programs have worked before. No questions asked, no risk of indictment, just a trade of money for supplies.

Solutions exist, people just don’t want to do their part and take personal accountability to improve society as a whole same as anything else. Always “me, me, me.” Money plays a factor also like anything else.
