My dad retired about a year ago. He always had a “work car” that he drove to and from work. He would buy a decent used car with cash and drive it until it wouldn’t run.
He gave me his 2003 Chevy Malibu (his work car) when he retired. I drive it to and from work and keep the miles off my new truck I bought a couple of years ago. It’s not pretty but it gets me where I need to go. It has about 180,000 miles on it.

Got a 2015 Tacoma with 125k really wanted a new Tundra this year but with all the issues it’s having and this one being paid off might as well ride it until it dies.

Have 60k on a 2019 4runner. I drive a lot for a living though. I would like to make it 200k miles.

2012 Lexus ES 350 I bought several years ago as a daily work commuter. Since I WFH 3 days/week, not putting much mileage on it like I intended to. Zero mechanical issues, aside from usual maintenance, transmission flush every 45K/miles, synthetic oil changes, ect.
142K miles on it. I plan on putting over 250K on it and drive it until it drops. Bought a 2019 Tahoe LTZ I plan I using for a few more years, trips to the mountains, skiing/snowboarding ect.
Trying to convince my wife to trade her 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in for a 4-Runner, way more reliable IMO. Just waiting for the damn thing to break down, where it’s only a matter of time.

2002 Lexus GS300 with only 114K on it. Smoothest, quietest, most comfortable car I've ever owned. Paid $5K for it 3 years ago with 95K on it. I would have no hesitation to drive it across the country tomorrow.

2002 Toyota Tacoma single cab with 221,000 when I’m by myself or 2006 Nissan Pathfinder 172,000 for when I’ve got my kids with to me. Either vehicle doesn’t get drove but a few thousand miles a year so I’m hoping for many more years out of them.

I drive an '02 Tacoma double cab with 217k. Drives great and mechanically solid. Zero plans to get anything else for a while.

Lot of people mad at people saving money on old cars.
My 08 Yaris holds 13 gallons. Ive only filled one ONE TIME since the Russian invasion of UKRAINE. Instead of spending 500$ a month on a new car payment, I can easily contribute my 6k to my IRA and buy the market dip this year. Enjoy your heated seats.
ETA my fiances work vehicle gas is paid for, I probably use that vehicle to travel my 3.8 miles to work 3x a week. I will admit I wish my car had bluetooth capability, but I can wait a few more years. Still holding on to my 04 honda civic with 108k miles just in case!
Her 2021 nissan already has 100k miles on it, she drives a LOT for work.

Noting that most of the 250k+ mileage posts are for Japanese cars and full sized GM trucks/SUVs. With the occasional Toyota truck/SUV sprinkled in.
Not a lot from BMW or Mercedes at all.
