Of 150 recorded monkeypox cases, 149 are young and middle aged men

This is good news
It likely means this isn’t something spreading within the wider community
It was very likely spread by a Nigerian man who was at a gay sex convention/party in England where hundreds of like minded fellows attended
Monkeypox is only spread through fluid contact and close bodily contact
As disease researcher Angela Rasmussen says
Unless you are in college station or soccer board, no reason to panic

There’s 2 possibilities to explain the widespread nature of the monkeypox outbreak:
-It’s more transmissible human to human
And/or
-Conditions were just right for it to spread widely
IMO there’s currently more data to support the latter.
