The fence-sitters who supposedly don’t care about politics

Never before in history has the U.S. government had such a negative impact on day to day life.. and it’s only getting worse. People from all walks of life are feeling the full force of an illegal heavy-handed regime.
Perhaps it’s time to start paying attention

It reminds me of having children. I know what’s going to happen. I can clearly see cause and effect- after the experience of making right and wrong decisions. They don’t. But, do they listen to me? No. They have to find out the hard way. And that’s how I know that Democrats are childish and ignorant.

And many children still don’t learn. And they think you don’t know shite throughout the whole process.

But they are soooo smart. And are superior to red state people that work for a living, stay out of trouble, believe the constitution should be followed and believe in God. If we would just abandon 2500 years of civilization and follow them to Sodom everything would be perfect.
They invented all this. They know better than the founding fathers. Of course Marxism works. Of course perverse behavior will improve all our lives and turning people against one another is good for the people.

You would think this would happen but this is the exact reason they leaked the Roe Vs Wade decision so women will protest, continue their insanity, & continue to vote Democrat.

100% the leak was solely to distract from runaway inflation and the release of “2000 Mules”
Anybody who took the bait is probably too dumb to save IMO

Politics has never been more important than it is today!
If you care about the direction of the country, you need to care about politics, period.

I’ve never been happier not following politics much. Clear mind, happy, fishing, exercise, football in the fall, no stress, just fricking happy. Pretty darn good lately.
I used to get so wrapped up in it, I would make myself sick with stress, and worry about the future. I used to hate people who were apathetic, then I realized we’re all just on a floating pointless rock in space and nothing really matters, it changed my whole outlook on life.

Absent football that’s me, but following politics doesn’t stress me out. I just like to know what’s going on enough to make an informed vote. I have no problem with people who disengage but I wish they’d stay out of the voting booth.

I mean I’m only on this forum so I can read with some of you crazies think. Then I laugh a little bit, but I kind of think a little bit and go man it must be terrible being that angry and stressed.

I’m with you. I used to watch The OReilly Factor religiously and get SO worked up about pointless stuff. Once I realized that all those rich pigs play for the same team and couldn’t possibly care less about me, I started living a much happier life. Now I only pay attention to local politics, because I can actually have an impact on them.

Who are you trying to convince? You just drifted from a reasonable POV to a douchetastic “I’m above it all” cliche’.
It’s similar to money; the people who really don’t care don’t talk about how much they don’t care.

The signs and protesters were just waiting for the call. Hell, the White House knew well in advance. 100% orchestrated.

I don’t get why they did it now and not closer to November

I’ll have whatever you’re having. America, the greatest country in the world, is in a cataclysmic free fall and it’s depressing
Posted on 5/18/22 at 12:24 pm to TulaneFan
Don’t be so depressed about it man. Do you understand the amazing thing that is life? Do you understand not only how small your percentage of a chance to even exist really is, but then also the percentage of living in the United States? Once you understand how ridiculously lucky you are to even be alive and to exist at all, all of this will seem so small and insignificant.

When I encounter these indifferent people I'm reminded of Pericles:
'Just because you do not take an interest in politics does not mean that politics does not take an interest in you.'

You might want to get in the game

We had to endure 4 years of Carter to get 8 years of Reagan. I'm hoping 4 years (or less) of Biden will give us 8 years of another demigod.

That was also Ralph Nader's slogan. "If you don't turn on to politics, politics will turn on you."
