Easiest way to test for return back to US?

I am heading to St Lucia in a few weeks and they only require you to be "fully vaccinated" (which only means 2 rounds) to avoid testing. However, on the way back, the US still requires a negative test.
What is the easiest way to do this? I have some of the at home testing from fedgov, but after looking it requires a telehealth appointment to observe the testing. Has anyone done this? How difficult? It is probably best to just get tested by a professional?

a lot of hotels set up appointments for you when you check in. When I went to the Bahamas and stayed in an airbnb we just went to a testing site (literally a tent on the beach) and took our test.

Order the emed kit. The telemed people are easy to deal with. Takes 15 minutes and you're done.

Check the country’s rules..I just got back from Belize and the only option was paying $75 for a test. At home tests weren’t even legal there.

Take the test tonight.
Get negative result.
Edit PDF results to represent the dates you need to leave said country.

This seems the easiest. Can you speak to the process of showing the test to get on a plane/clear customs when returning to US by plane (as a citizen)

You don’t need to clear customs with a test. You just need to satisfy the random person working the ticket counter.
Every country I’ve visited over the last 2 years has some sort of pre-authorization via an app. They ask you to upload docs when you check in for your flight. Usually 24-48 hours prior.
Upload the negative test and you will receive a “free to fly” type of clearance. If you have a negative test from any legitimate organization, you good.
It’s that easy. Remember, the people checking these tests are not scientist. They get random people from random countries.

Thanks. This is basically what I assumed.

If you’re resort is not providing the test the eMed test kit is the easiest. The whole process takes about 20 minutes.
After you buy it online you can submit a receipt to your health insurance company and they’ll reimburse you $12 per test and you can use your HSA to make the purchase if you have one.

Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for (along with the other nominations of eMed). I'm ordering today via my HSA.

How long does it take to get the test in the mail from emed? I have a trip this summer and I was waiting to order hoping they testing requirement for US return would end.

We got ours in less than a week. We did the 6 pack for $150 even though we only needed three. Definitely make sure you order one or two more than you think you need in case you mess one up.

I was going to do that but it always said the telehealth service was sold out on the iHealth website. Ended up getting a test at our condo in Cozumel yesterday for $30 each. They emailed results. I uploaded to Verifly app which is who American Airlines uses. Went to check in for our flight and it showed us as cleared without having to do anything else.

Can the Abbot at home test be used via Telemed?

The one on my link is, yes.

It's an abomination that the US is still requiring this. Gonna have to scramble to get a test done at the last minute before my flight back from Canada later this week
It makes absolutely no sense to still require this even Canada didn't make you
Gonna be freakin pissed if I get a positive result and can't come back. What a pain in the arse

If it happens just drive across the border and grab a flight from first US airport you find.

I'm not convinced the Emed observers can even tell the test result. They ask what the result is and take a pic of it but seemed to me like they had no idea.

get the abbott at home proctored test. They send you a pdf with the results.
keep the pdf, and change dates accordingly for future travel.

This is such BS that coming back to the US, we still must test!
Can the name/date/data be changed and can anyone send me a copy of said PDF without your personal info?
