Mississippi State University 1977 Accounting 101 head of the accounting dept. First introductory class made the point to say if you have any questions please ask.

2 days later, a student asks a question. Our professor proceeds to tell him that’s the dumbest question he has ever had, and proceeds to tell the student he expects The student to produce a paper answering said question.

Student replies, Sir I am paying your sorry, lazy arse to teach me accounting. Part of teaching includes answering genuine questions. Said student gets up and walks out of class never to be seen again.

Professor is never asked another question that semester. I

Had a black female English professor my freshman year at LSU. She was always late for class, missed several classes, and never had our papers graded on time. Easy A in the class but I felt that i wasted my money paying for that class. It was a foreshadowing of what I know now.

I don't know her name, but she was a fricking English teacher, I think the second English I took. I had a class in Tureau and this class was in Allen or somewhere in the quad and they were back to back and I had to get on the lift, then get to the elevator.

She hated for people to arrive late. For some reason I still remember it was an industrial engineering class and he would always go over the time.. People would have their shite in hand so on the first day I was a few minutes late. But then I figured out how to get there right on time most of the time. After about the 3rd time going in a few minutes late she started bitching, I turned around and left.. Then went drop her class.

I just remember her because she was over the top. She would give these assignments and every class pick someone to read what they wrote and if someone didn't do it she would lay into them. She grilled the shite out of this girl and I was just thinking "just don't give her points you don't have to be a bitch".

Can anyone think of an English teacher whose husband also taught at LSU? If so then it might be her but this woman sucked arse.

A philosophy class I had take in the summer at 8AM. The professor had a weird accent and would get offended if you asked him to repeat what he just said. But mainly because he was constantly ranting and raving about how Bush "stole" the election (this was 2002) and orchestrated 9/11 and that the world would ending in 20 years because of global warming.

Governmental and Not-for-Profit Accounting professor at LSU. She was a total bitch and the worst professor I’ve ever encountered.

Despise...none that I remember.

I felt sorry for one that was trying to tell a class full of teachers how to manage challenging students. I asked her when was the last time she taught a class outside of the university. She replied “I once taught at a camp in 1973.” The class went apeshit as I sat back and watched my handy work. She didn’t return after that. Needless to say, she didn’t manage this challenging student very well.

All in all, however, my experience with my professor’s was quite positive.

A friend of mine took a philosophy class and he swore his final exam was a piece of paper with the question "Why?" he claims he wrote "why not?" got up, handed it in and split.. And got an A in the class.

Never despised any of my profs.

There were certainly a number of them that I felt were out of their depth and wholly incapable of instruction, but I more felt sorry for them than despised them.

Nathan Brenner. He also had an entire routine around opening his diet coke before class started.

CSB:

I minored in African American studies at LSU, and had a professor with the last name Broome my second senior year in 08.
It was a MWF class at like 930.
On mondays, we would get an assignment to do in a group.
Wednesday, we would submit a one page paper on said assignment.
On fridays, we would read one page assignment to class.

Within like four weeks, I was fed up, stood up in class and told this dude what a joke he was, and that nobody in this class was learning shite.

Well, midterms came and literally everyone in the class failed them. Kids were protesting, deans were called in, it was a wild scene. Lotta football players in that class obv.

Well, nothing changes about the way the class schedule went on, and finals are taken, and a lotta the class is upset with their grade. I had a D, and dgaf. So, after several meetings with higher ups, it was decided that there was “miscommunication” between the professor and class, and if we signed this paper, we would all get B’s. I refused, and said this dude should not be tenured, should be fired, and it’s an absolute farce he’s employed by our esteemed university. I was the only one to not sign the paper. Nobody in the administration cared what this long haired hippy white boy said.

His wife is now mayor of BR. And just like his classroom presence, she has ran the city nonchalantly and recklessly.
