Fear not, the economy is booming

I went somewhere today I haven’t been in a while. Lakeside Mall. And finding a parking spot wasn’t easy. The place was packed. People everywhere the eye could see. And not just dumbasses walking about bullshitting empty handed. No, the dumbasses had bags of merchandise, lots of it. Consumer confidence seems to be at an all time high, in spite of Joe Biden. Things are looking up y’all.

Lakeside really is an anomaly. Might be one of the last malls standing when it’s all said and done

#1 indicator of US economic well being has always been Lakeside mall parking capacity. That’s why I roll my eyes when people bring up inflation rate, interest rate, unemployment rate, home sales.

inflation usually does mean the economy looks well. it's what comes next that's the problem.

Then you look at the prices at the local supermarket and understand just how dire shite is for people not making over 40k.

It's weird. If you really pay attention, we are in real danger, but people seem to be ignoring it.
I think it's because govt just doesn't care about the debt we are incurring and people don't either. A reckoning is coming, just not sure if its in the next year or not.

So it has nothing to do with the fact Mother’s Day is tomorrow?

You made one trip to Lakeside on Mothers Day weekend and that’s all you needed to see to declare a booming economy with soaring consumer confidence?
