Have any of you ever been to Jimmy Swaggart’s church in Baton Rouge? If you have, what was it like? I know many years ago he had a large congregation, but I heard that the scandals really depleted that number.

Went when I was back in college in the mid 2000’s. Looked like it hadn’t been updated since the early 90’s. Went to people watch and see what bullshite Swaggart still had to throw.

It did. A lot of those buildings around his church like the Renaissance Hotel used to be his.
I think his scandal hit during the construction and they just stopped. We used to go up in that shell of a building and drink beer in HS

I know a guy that worked there.
He said that the son and wife are far more intimidating than Jimmy himself.

Just did some work on their latest renovation. Seems to be more oriented on streaming their services. Also, upgraded his museum....to himself.
