Steelers, Falcons, Panthers and RedmandersFT all picked QBs to go along with the vets they already have.

Pete Carroll on NFL Network yesterday sounded like he was good going into the season with Geno Smith and Lock. He did say the team always leaves the door open for improvement but that is probably just coachspeak.

So...do the Lions want him? He could be SOL.

The Browns signed Brissett in case Watson misses games so they don't need him back but they'll be stuck with $19 million dead cap if they cut him.

Baker hasn't helped his case with some tone deaf comments about going to the Colts or Seahawks either.

Go the tribisky route. Back up someone and never play a snap and after a year people will convince themselves that it was the coaches that were the problem and not the QB

He may need to go the Jameis route and sit a year or two.

He’s not a great player, and you also have to deal with his persona. Just not worth it for most teams.

His contract and the browns having no leverage after the Watson move was made are much bigger factors to get he isn’t on another team yet than his performance or attitude

Why trade an asset for a guy the browns have no choice but to release at some point

Exactly. Especially if you’re not sure if he can be a permanent solution for you under center. Just wait until the Browns let him go

I have this feeling that he will be reconciled with KK and be the Cardinals QB in 2023 and Kyler leaves or is traded.

He has an onerous contract this season. That’s the first reason teams aren’t taking him. Then you have to consider he’d be a FA after this season unless he’s signed to a long term deal. On that note, he thinks he is better than he has been and hasn’t been all that accountable for his poor play.

QB needy teams don’t want to pay his price tag this season for what could be a one year rental. They’d rather take a chance with a younger, cheaper option. Mayfield has his own questions…but the timing of him trying to land with someone else is bad for him

Anyone playing for the Browns will have their career ruined.

These are the facts.

I don't get the Baker hate. He had some good seasons for the Browns but played hurt all last season. He should have shut it down. He hurt himself by playing hurt.

Is $19 million even that much money for a QB anymore? The Bears gave fricking Mike Glennon 3 years for $45 million and that was a disaster.

One year of $19 million isn't that bad and it's not like Baker wouldn't be willing to do some negotiating or extending another year or two.

19 isn’t a ton for a QB relative to the top of the market, but why would you pay it? Browns have no leverage there

Also pointing at another bad QB contract doesn’t really help your point

Why would baker do that and why would a team want to commit to baker when he’s not shown to be an above average QB consistently. Plus whatever asset you would trade

And his contract this year is fully GTD and can’t be restructured per CBA rules. So he’s counting all 19 mil on your cap unless the browns are paying a portion

What did the Browns expect when they drafted Johnny Football 2.0

Normal people would have learned their lesson the first time around.

I don’t see how they are comparable players at all and Johnny football would sell his last 8 ball to have had the career baker has so far

A lot of teams don’t want to have to deal with his shite attitude and the media circus it would bring along with him.

Wait, it’s racism. That’s what it is. Can’t possibly have anything to do with the above statement for Baker is just a slave to the man that is just being ignored because of the color of his skin.

Johnny Football rejects the idea the last eight-ball exist. Somewhere, somehow he will get another one.
