I went to the Fest yesterday with 3 friends, who came in from NY. They went Friday as well. We had a blast. The weather was perfect. Great music, delicious food, and thousands of people having fun with no trouble.
They have some miserable f**ks on this board. No matter the topic they have to go negative and angry. NOLA sucks, BR sucks, black people suck, etc. But, having that attitude on a daily basis must really suck.

Have you read all about the shootings recently? You cant blame people for thinking the way they do.

Raining right now and could be muddy.
ain’t no ‘could be’

After that inevitable first rain cloud opens up on the fairgrounds you can bet a couple of the usual spots being mud holes until the end of the festival.

ETA: maybe think about trading in Demshoes for Demrainboots

We lived through the 90’s. You only hear about it so much because of the internet.
Stay away from the internet and live your life.
Living in fear and posting about it on tOT is a miserable life, but to each it’s own.

To the OP enjoy Jazz Fest, best time of the year, with great people, awesome music and incredible food.

Jazz Fest is nothing more than a bunch of hippies dancing around in horse shite. I'm serious, horse shite. Too bad people are dumb enough not to realize its on the turf course where apples are dropped.

you sound like my family my grandmother was always concerned about Black Gold’s grave …however, it’s mostly on the infield and there are probably worse things dropped than horse apples during jazz fest

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

I go every year and this year is no exception. I have noted by alcohol consumption has gone down quite a bit over the past few years

International Festival will be the only thing close that isn't in NOLA.

And it isn't better. But everyone has their own taste.

We were supposed to go in the fall, we went to NO anyway, there were still some night shows going on, had a blast. Jazz Fest is one of the best festivals in the world. I plan on making it next year.
