Some people I know were partners with him on the one way out Airline toward Prarieville.

When I went to the opening, I didn’t know anything about Innes other than him having voiced Scooby Doo. Him being a douchebag became clear soon after. And stories continued from people I know who worked at Clear Channel with him.

I mean stupid on his part if true. But she could have just broke it off instead of trying to ruin his life. I could see if he beat her or tried to rape her. This girl is petty and wants her attention also $$$

It was in her car. He thought she was cheating on him and he heard her talking about banging other dudes on the device. Sounds like he told on himself about the recording device.

How is this any different than what the NSA does with our phones?

He might be able to get off (no pun intended) due to Louisiana being a one-party recording state.

But if he wasn't present, one party wasn't aware.

One party recording doesn't apply to recordings when you are not present. You can record me talking to you on the phone but you cannot record me in my house if you're not there.

That means at least one party PRESENT has to be aware.

I'm wondering why this isn't a federal charge, honestly

I was just joking really with the whole one-party thing in Louisiana being a static law because there are many other factors that come into play for the reasoning behind recording/bugging another person. But if we want to get technical, then the only party that has to be aware is the person placing the device, e.g. Lane, in Louisiana.

LSS Police are somehow associated with the State Police. I don’t know the exact relationship, but they have the same authority.

I know someone that was a state trooper that transferred to the LSU police. It was a direct transfer and not a complete different agency from what I understand. They have the same powers and authority as the state police.

You might be right, but it was always my understanding that if you can support the reasoning why, then in Louisiana you don't technically have to be present physically inside the location where you're one-party recording someone else.
