Can someone shed some light on Uber after football games last season?

Can anybody tell me what the Uber situation was like after football games last season? I’m going to the concert on Saturday and looking at it as a major home game traffic-wise.
I’ve been to several events that have designated Uber/Lyft pickup locations. I’ve searched online and can’t find any info regarding rideshare specifics. Any advice is appreciated.

$50 minimum and you’ll probably need to walk to either AM Mart or Perkins Overpass

Thanks for the response.

I believe you can schedule a ride through those apps for a certain time. If you wait till the end of the concert to order a ride it will be difficult to try to get one. I went to a Chris Stapleton concert in Biloxi and it took an hour and a half to finally get one.
ETA: Lyft has been cheaper anytime I've tried leaving games or concerts.

It was terrible. Last year during a game (ULM) and it wasn't even that crowded, we ended up having to call a taxi. We had to walk to walk-ons to get picked up. There weren't many uber/lyft cars in the area. I'm not sure if that has changed.

There won’t be. There’s just no central spot that Ubers and Lyfts can easily get to. Would make way too much sense to have a shuttle service to Lauberge or somewhere easily accessible to Uber, so we don’t do anything like that. Most of the time you’ll have to walk a mile or more to even get to one.

If money isn’t a concern then I would take a pedicab from the stadium to somewhere on the outskirts of campus depending where you live then Uber from there. Have been in a situation where rides kept getting canceled on me because I was too close to the stadium.

at the UCLA game they woundnt let cars drive to the stadium after halftime. The 1 Uber who had made it in was tying to charge 300 dollars to take us to Pasadena. The next Uber we called canceled on us after like 20 mins of waiting

Gamedays are usually 4x normal amount due to surges.

They play it multiple times in a game.
It's strictly for Local Yokal Louisiana Lifer Pump Lump Alcoholic types.

Ole Miss crowd is half of LSUs but the campus is smaller also.
They allow parking at the shopping center in town as well as Oxford High School and the city shuttles people is for like 15 dollars.
Also Uber has a designated route up to an hour or so until game time.
There is plenty LSU could do to make it a better experience overall.

Not really. You can schedule a request for a ride ahead of time but that doesn’t do anything different than if you made the request at the time you scheduled ahead for.
It doesn’t reach out to drivers ahead of time and guarantee you a ride, that’s for sure.
