Or tactical approach to landing, you descend while circling within the perimeter of the airfield to avoid possible small arms fire from the unsecured area surrounding the airfield. Would be standard ops for north BR.

If it is a fighter jet, they might be practicing a flyover for the Garth Brooks concert at Tiger Stadium. They usually only fly over once during the week before ballgames, etc.

Probably too early since the concert is on April 30th.

Many years ago we would take our oldest daughter to the Monroe airport to watch C-130s do touch and goes. She was very young and is now 36.
