Goldman currently rates TWTR as a sell and has a target of $30. Elon offer $54

So… 50% over the price before he bought in and 30% over the current price and yet it is too low?

Seems like the Twitter board is admitting they aren’t meeting their potential if they should get a bigger buyout.

Elon is currently dangling a carrot. He could very easily go stick and in the process save himself a ton of money.

I would hate to be the D&O insurer for Twitter’s board right now. They are going face massive suits either way.

My suspicion is Elon's made the offer to put Twitter's board on the hot seat. He knows that Twitter's board will reject the offer.

There's no untapped value in Twitter. Twitter's developers are currently working on a "edit button." They're not exactly innovating over there. Moreover, Twitter will likely continue to lose market share as the "big tech" platfom is very vulnerable to competitors. Twitter sells ads, cancels dissenters, and pushes propaganda, which is not a sustainable in my opinion.

Until there are major changes in Twitter's management and culture, this will very likely be the most Twiiter is ever worth.

The left will fight tooth and nail to keep their strangle hold over all media outlets.

Musk is seen as a threat. So he will never gain any control over twitter.

If so, this will end up as the “We will destroy the city in order to save it” routine.

It stopped the Vietnamese offensive in Tet but was a massive PR nightmare for the country.

In this case, it likely destroys Twitter without Musk putting up any further investments and means he is in a position to make similar pushes against most other “platforms”.

Elon is probably selling right now or buying a bunch of puts and/or selling a bunch of calls. He's about to tank Twitter.

However what Twitter has going for it is name recognition and blue check loyalty.

Wait?? How can Goldman Sachs claim that? Is this the New Democrat math? Because, in old math, 54 was greater than 30.

name recognition

Twitter's réputation as a censored bot cesspool is growing daily. That name recognition is increasingly becoming toxic.

Increasingly irrelevant because of Twitter's toxicity.
