Retailers Limiting Baby Formula Purchases

Wonder how much the Fed government is sucking up to give to illegals?

As of Tuesday, stores such as CVS - the country's largest pharmacy chain - and Target have announced restrictions on the amount of formula purchases shoppers can make, both online and in-person. On Tuesday, a spokesperson for Target - which boasts 1,931 stores nationwide - announced stores in most states will now have a five-per-day limit on baby formula purchases, at the request of the Food and Drug Administration. CVS, meanwhile, which oversees 9,932 US stores, are limiting customers to three purchases a day.
'Following supplier challenges and increased customer demand, we've added a limit of three baby formula products per purchase in our stores and online,' a spokesperson for the drug store told DailyMail.com Tuesday. 'We're continuing to work with our baby formula vendors to address this issue and we regret any inconvenience this causes our customers,' the spokeswomen added. Also limiting quantities of baby formulas that consumers can pick up is storied supermarket chain Kroger - which has nearly 2,800 locations nationwide - and drug store stalwart Walgreen's, which have both implemented limits on customers.
Walgreen's - the second-largest pharmacy chain in the country - said Friday it is similarly limiting customers to three infant and toddler formula product purchases at a time at its 9,021 US locations. A company spokesperson told DailyMail.com that the restrictions, already in effect, stem from an 'increased demand and various supplier issues.'

The rationing by the retail giants come as an estimated 30 percent of popular formula brands have been reported sold out across the country. The shortage is being blamed on supply chain issues stemming from the pandemic - which has spawned a backlog of billions of dollars of toys, clothing, electronics, vehicles, and furniture over the past year.
A recent recall, however, compounded the issue in February, when Abbott, one of four major American formula manufacturers, called back a number of its products - including its preeminent Similac formulas - due to a bacteria contamination at its Michigan factory. The contamination was discovered after four infants who consumed the company's formula products - which also include Alimentum, and EleCare - were hospitalized, with one later dying.

Maybe we can stop sending supplies to Africa for them to just be held hostage by the local (dem-supported) warlord

The shortages are because of recalls I read:

Looks to me that the majority of the illegals are teenage to 40s males.

It was called liquid gold before this crisis.
Now, shite I don't know.
Liquid platinum. Liquid diamonds.
Liquid unobtainium.

That sucks because my wife is due in early October. I guess I'll have to tell her to be wary of that. This is pissing me off because there's a shortage of just about everything right now and it's getting worse.

Just googled it.
Article claimed $2.50 per ounce.

why is Putin doing this?
You know what's funny about the Putin Price Hike narrative? When Trump endeavored to enter a trade war with the Chinese, these same liberals said that it would do literally nothing but inflate domestic prices. "We cant unilaterally bring the Chinese economy to its knees", they said. Except on the eve of Covid19, we had done just that.
Now, they argue that Putin's invasion of Ukraine is the sole cause of 60 year high inflation in the US, across the board. Which is it?

May have to sell my frozen titty milk supply if this keeps up. Easy money.

Don't forget to routinely check Amazon. Have a friend with a young child (3-4 months old), we were hanging out and he was surfing around looking for formula online. Amazon's pricing was similar to other retailers and had a 3-4 day lead time.

You can look at pre-purchase possibly. The cans unopened are good up to a year from manufacturing date found on the can. But do not use past the expiration date.
Although not all babies are good to go with any formula from what I remember. We had to try a couple before finding one the baby liked.

Amazon is the way to go. We just weaned our 1 year old off formula but I spent the last 12 months with an Amazon auto ship for a case of formula each month. Made the whole thing super easy as I barely ever had to go to the store to buy more.

I've seen "garage sales" where they're sold like at CVS. Maybe that's what they're trying to stop.
