My oldest is wanting to go to Dallas for her birthday. Just a day of shopping and fun stuff, stay at "fancy" hotel and eat a "fancy" dinner.

So my question is, what would y'all recommend for a "fancy" dinner in Dallas that has a menu suitable for a somewhat adventurous 9 year old, but still recognizing that she is still 9

And it needs to have a somewhat "fancy" or at least special feel.

Idk why, but Texas De Brazil comes to mind as a fun place for a 9 year old.

Would she enjoy afternoon tea instead of dinner? It's "fancy", with lots of decoratively presented small items, usually nothing too weird for a 9 y o palate, and tea is a kid friendly beverage.

Here's a list of afternoon tea spots in Dallas: LINK

My stepdaughter took her daughter to Nick and Sam's for her 10th birthday last year.

Boulevardier or Lucia's, both in Bishop Arts which has a bunch of "cute" shops she can check out before or after dinner. Emporium Pies is there too and would be a great desert
