Candy cigarettes and cigar gum

Who’s old enough to remember them?
I remember getting candy cigarettes when trick or treating
They had different old school monsters on each little box of the candy cigarettes

Candy cigarettes could be sharpened into a weapon simply by twirling one around your mouth.

It was sad though that you only got one "smoke puff" per cigarette. And right out of the box, the end was colored orange so it looked like it was lit.
My aunt used to buy me packs of those all of the time....of course, she also let me "smoke" her real cigs when my mom wasn't around (just some puffing). I thought I was bad arse...sitting up on her counter, smoking while she cooked. Oh, and she would let me "flick" her ashes on her cigarette as well.

I used to get my maw maw to burn the ends of my candy cigs with a match so it looked "real" when I lit one up.

I remember pulling out a pack of candy cigs back in the day in 4th-5th grade, and my tennis coach freaked the frick out thinking they were real

Oh yea, Maw Maw would send me or any of my cousins down to the Winn Dixie at the end of the street to get her smokes. She would say "If they question you, tell them they are for Geenie"
They would sell them to us everytime, but probably didn't matter, if you had change you could buy them from the cigarette machine.
