I love Shaq.

But if the kid is going to his fourth school... something is wrong with the kid, not the teams...

Well we aren't going to be able to attract 4 and the rare 5 star Louisiana recruits now since word got out that we don't even take care of our own. Woodward is pathetic and should resign immediately

Then we played Mizzou again a few days later in the SEC tourney and he played 0 minutes.

Way to be on top of things. O’Neal missed all of the week leading up to the SECT because of the death of his grandfather

Haha. Somehow I missed that or forgot it. Thanks. But anyway, it was weird how he played him the most minutes he had all season when Shaq showed up and he was actually very productive, but otherwise didn't give him too much of a chance when he was healthy during the season despite poor play from our other big guys.

I felt like he did a similar thing with Jalen Cook in favor of Gaines.

That's the ticket. Great attitude and response to a billionaire basketball legend that could yawn and stroke $5 Million year to pay a handful of 5 star recruits to play for LSU basketball. And not like he has no contacts either.

I like Shareef but if I were to give him an honest evaluation, the guy stays injured and he is lazy on defense. Also, I love Shaq but his Giannis description is an extreme exaggeration of Shareef's offensive capabilities. Shareef is alright on offense, but come on. In saying that, I wish he would stay at LSU but if he doesn't I hope he finds someplace that makes him happy.

Shaq is referring to players on the 21-22 team being told by the LSU administration their scholarships likely wouldn’t be renewed & to look elsewhere. Shaq’s comment has nothing to do with how Will Wade treated his son. Nice try.

I don’t think he is Giannis. But, he was better than Reid. Some games he didn’t even play. Reid would consistently play 12-18 minutes. Get 2 points 4 boards. So yeah maybe not Giannis, but a lot better than Reid in the limit amount of time he played..

The only way this is true is if those players have active pay stubs from Will Wade's bank account. If that is the case, yes then the admins would have to punish the players too. But why would Wade be buying O'Neal when his dad has more money than anyone?

If you read between the lines, like a lot of people he is pissed that WW got fired right before the tournament.

I think you are seeing what you want to see there. Shaq prefaced his response by saying Shareef is a grown man and it is his decision, suggesting Shaq wasn't necessarily favoring his entering the transfer portal. When referring to "taking care of" Shareef he also commented that "they had their own problems" they needed to take care of, and the interviewer said including firing the coach, which Shaq agreed with in a non-emotional way.

It's pathetic if people think this exchange is cause to fire the AD.

You're probably right, but it'd be nice if Shaq would elaborate more on how he answered.

Shaq is not objective because it’s his son. He will find another problem with the way the next school handles him. When you aren’t good enough to split time with a guy like Reid, you aren’t going far.

THAT IS MEANING RENEWING SCHOLARSHIPS. Like it or not. Woodward gutted that program like a dumbass.

Think about the millions Shaq gave to that school.

frick Scotty bitch.

Not really. He was going to Arizona then Miller's wiretap bs heated up so he decommitted. Committed to UCLA, they had the coaching change then he had open heart surgery. Comes to LSU, he finally gets healthy, we fire our program into the sun. He's had incredibly bad luck during his career.

Heart surgery was bad luck, his school choices weren't. He could easily stay at LSU and try to impress the new coach if he wished.

I think Shaq may know something that he's not telling, and if Woody is hammering the basketball team to save football, I and most others would be fine with that.

This is about the only time if I were Woodward, Id call in coach McMahon and have a talk and then then go to Shaq. Your son starts every game and plays all the minutes he can handle next season. Guaranteed. Pistol’s son barely saw the court. Walton’s son barely saw the court. Shaq’s son is much better than both of those and its not worth having him upset in anyway with the University. Next season we will not be competing for championships anyway.

Shaq was a great player, but his son not so much! U should learn to play & not ride your daddy's coat tails. I am glad he is gone!

Then go ahead and take LSU off of your profile. You are a lousy fan. The kid played well for us this year.

Don't make a bad situation worse by hamstringing your already weak coach. Let McMahon do the job you hired him for.
