Just saw 7 of the 8 stadiums are in the same city. The other is 20 miles away

Only approximately 90,000 rooms will be made available to the public via a website. That is "around the same number of fans" from the U.S. who had tickets for the '18 World Cup in Russia

What does this even mean?

If I’m understanding correctly, the total number of rooms for fans of all 32 countries in Qatar at official properties is the same as the just the number of Americans who went to Russia.

Surely that can’t be right, but that’s how I’m taking it.

I also suspect there are options to stay other than the official avenues.

Dude you gotta promise to post on here regularly. Pictures of outside the game and of your view live from your seats, etc.

I love that kind of shite.

90,000 Americans went to the World Cup in 2018
There are 90,000 hotel rooms available for fans in Qatar

Thanks again for your service, mate

Even though you didn't like it overall, surely there was something cool or fun that you enjoyed there?

I'm thinking of going to the season finale F1 race in Abu Dhabi on Sunday and then the US vs England World Cup game in Qatar on Friday. Or that's my goal anyway.

So they are saying 90,000 Americans went to a World Cup on the other side of the country we weren't even in?

I'm suspicious.

I'd like to go. Have a fond memory of the area (more Bahrain), but am awaiting the invite. Of my own accord? I'm fine with viewing it abroad.

I also imagine there will be a severe lack of shots at the game of scantily clad hot broads cheering for their countries. You know if you’re into that kind of thing

“Allah cannot see in Bahrain!” If he could, he would see all the Saudis getting sloshed at Fiddler’s Green in the Diplomat or the 200 Russian whores they ran out of an apartment building the last time I was there!
But the Fuddruckers is good!

Looks like I will be attending the Brazil v Serbia on Thanksgiving. Complete crapshoot with ticketing. I just chose a date and stadium.

How many are recent or distant immigrants to the US or have familial ties to countries who played. 90,000 is easy.
