Will Smith did not truly slap Chris Rock, it was totally staged.

I came here to read about the ridiculous staged slap and our reaction to it only to find the majority on here completely fooled by the stunt.
#1 Will Smith slowly walked up on the stage
1.1 Chris Rock would have keep a distance from him if it were not staged
1.1 Chris had plenty of time to get away but stayed in place
#2 Will Smith slowly drew his hand back at length.
2.1 If he had truly slapped from that distance several things ensue
2,1.1 Chris Rock would be on the floor
2.1.2 Rock would at that point took off running but again stayed in place
2.2 Chris showed no trauma from the slap, one side of his face would be noticeably red or effected by the slap but was not
#3 The sound did not match a slap to the face
3.1 The slap to the face is a high pitch noise but the sound was a thud
3.2 The sound did not match the strike in sequence, it was off from when you would expect the sound

I think the best evidence it was staged is that Smith immediately turned around and walked off the stage after the slap. He knew there would be no retaliation.

Much the same reason Chris Rock stood there leaning towards Smith as he walked towards him, Will Smith did not fear any retaliation because of where it happened and who he did it to. Everyone, including Chris Rock, was just standing there stunned.
I am enjoying some of you guys thinking that because Chris Rock didn't get into a fighting position when Will fricking Smith casually walked up to him on stage, or that because Rock didn't jump on his like a spider monkey after he slapped him it was all staged.

Agree, I love movies and entertainment, but I could care less about these people after that and don't keep up with them. Crazy how "the average" person is so consumed with so called celebs.
