Either of those are good because you want to cluster the higher probability of good outcomes. I understand that means you're also clustering the low probability guys too, but spreading them out hasn't been getting the job done. We're leaving too many guys on base. Put all the high good outcome guys together and get runs across. It will make everything a little easier.

7 or 8 is such a terrible spot in the order for him. Teams know him, so they're just not going to pitch to him alot (he might chase, see the high K rate). Take your chances with 8 or 9 guy. They have way less room for error with him in the 9 hole, and seeing Tre/Doughty/Dylan getting their helmets on.

Well said. And look out if McAnus earns his M back.

Yep. If you can average 1.5 runs scored every time through the lineup, you'll always be in contention.

I love that McManus has gotten alot of time. I still want Milazzo back there, but McManus could be a very valuable RH bat (hitting C, DH against LHP, pinch hitter).

Agree. Right now coming off the bench as a RH PH, we’ve got:

Bianco
Travinski

then

Cranford
Holt?

Not exactly the Golden Corral of choices.

I think we have a different opinion of Golden Corral, but not a different opinion of the available bats.

That place is pure arse.

But when I lived in northern Virginia about 12-15 years back they built a new one, and a couple of my sons decided for their birthday in their mid-teens, they wanted to go to Golden Corral and then to the movies with a couple of friends. It was decent when it was brand new, but very quickly became the Wal-Mart of buffets. Trust me, our opinions are the same.

The gaping hole at 3rd could be filled by putting Doughty back at 3rd and moving Merrifield to 2nd

We’ve worked it all out and have moved on to discuss buffets.

I like McManus in that role. I’d really love to see him get it together behind the plate. It’d be really nice to have someone back there who’s solid on both sides of the ball.

Remember that one game when Travinski teased us?

Getting back to Dugas … A big part of what a good coach does is, getting good players going again. Letting them know you trust them and helping them figure it out. I really don’t think JJ has done this with Dugas. It’s been more of a sink or swim approach.

Blame the oaf coaching 3rd for A&M.

Best I can tell, CJJ wants Jobert in the lineup because of the potential he has with the bat. Only explanation I can think of. A lot of the defensive stuff with Berry is making sure he and Jobert are both in the lineup. I guess Berry is lesser of two evils defensively? I’d love to see Doughty move back and Merrifield go to 2nd. GD7 to right and Berry DH. That’s an ideal situation to me.

I can’t remember one since Savique? (I think that’s how you spell it?)

Papierski hit .256 with 11 HRs in his final year. And he was solid behind the plate. I’ll take that any day of the week.

I trully believe once dugas gets healthier he will come around, I think being sick and losing weight will mess with your strength and timing, since he bats right maybe bat him 9th so you have LH morgan behind him and will give him better pitches to hit, I would like to see doughty at 3rd, and merrifield at 2nd, at least since jobert has really been hitting like he was. Thompson just doesnt look comfortable at ss. even when he fields the ball it seems like he has trouble getting it to first and morgan has to dig it out of the dirt, I have never seen a 1st Baseman have to work so hard. I think he knows he has the position because lsu doesnt have a back up ss that hits above .250, maybe move merrifield to ss and bring competition to the position might put a little fire behind thompson. if there is a guy on 3rd and if milazzo isnt behind the plate I dont trust the other 2. As for Pitching we have money who should be pitching on probably sat or sun , but we have him friday night out of a 27 inning weekend he is good for about 4, when coleman when down it hurt , it tookaway a starter plus a lefty, since we didnt have hardly any lefty, he had to bring one with him just to have one on the bench for situational purposes. so now you are trying to find guys to pitch the other 23 innings and you fontenot , vietmeir, gervese, dutton, about 2 innings each, and cooper to go against a lefty.I dont trust the others in the other 15 innings. But I do think dutton and taylor are diamonds in the rough and in 2 years they will be friday and sat starters. Just my opinion
