Pennsylvania woman pulled over for suspected DUI, let go, proceeds to kill 3 people

Am I reading this wrong? Seems like getting a suspected drunk off the road should be as high or higher priority than helping someone walking along the interstate.

Yes---here's the whole story as I heard from a local reporter on a Philly radio show this morning. The 2 troopers pulled the woman over for speeding.(110 in a 50!!) They ran her registration but just then got a "priority call" for the pedestrian walking in the left lane of the interstate. At that time they did not suspect her of DUI. They had to let her go to handle the priority call. They had to make a u-turn to go the other direction to go to that call. For some reason, the DUI chick ALSO made the u turn and minutes later hit the 2 troopers and the man they were putting into their cruiser. She hit them so hard they all flew across the other 3 lanes of traffic and landed on the opposite shoulder.

A couple of years ago I met a guy my buddy had just hired at his business. Nice guy in his 30s with a wife and small child. Couple of days later I get a call to tell me he had been killed by a drunk driver. The drunk driver had been released from prison the day before after serving several years for killing someone while driving drunk.

Probably thought she had been pulled over for driving while black and just wanted to go find the cops to start a conversation.

I'm sure we'll have to hear about how the system is racist and that she shouldn't be in jail because she didn't mean to do it.
