I’ve literally watched Saban storm off from an interview with Paul Finebaum because he didn’t like the questions Paul was asking.
So no. This isn’t something that “only happens to LSU”.

Sad thing about it is, the guy wrote one of the finest stories on Louisiana deer hunting for the Times about 30 years ago.

LSU can't control what is written by outside sources, and "canceling" a reporter or a media outlet's access to press conferences so they won't ask questions you don't like is a very bad look. It won't stop topics from being written about or discussed, and usually makes things worse. The best way to handle this is to have a coach like Brian Kelly who, unlike his predecessors, is able to simultaneously chew gum and think, and can answer questions intelligently.

I remember once, I think it was way back when it was Culotta and the prince, they had a call in segment where people could call in and ask Gilbeau questions. That segment did not go the way they wanted. It was great, I loved it. Should've become a daily segment.

There are a lot of these guys that had big Journalistic Change the World Dreams, got a beat writer job and had to toe the party line for the beat. This makes them angry and cynical and they can harbor a pretty deep resentment.
So a guy like GG leaves the Gannett papers, goes out on his own and kicks over a few ant piles. Then he gets an independent OutKick deal and he is fully free now to spew as much venom and vitriol against LSU as he can because it is all clickbait.

Since AU have, please tell this younger generation of how much of a man Jerry Stovall was on the field and how he was ABSOLUTELY screwed out of the Heisman.
Also, tell them about upsetting Arky in the ‘66 Cotton Bowl after they had their QBs crap knocked out of him. To me the ONLY bigger upset MAYBE was the upset of UF in 1997. Arky had won 22 straight to that point to out it in perspective.
