56 or 60

I have been using a 69 forever around the green and in the sand. Lately I wonder if I should use a 56 instead. Is it easier?
I already use a 56 if it’s over 40 yards or so. I guess I’m asking:
Which do you use?

I suggest looking at h the bounce set up more than the degrees. Meaning tight lie or fluffy lie. Or Webb park root lie lol

Historically I have used a 56....but this year I have been training myself to use a 60. I want a more lofted shot that releases on a more gentle roll to the pin.
I find that I tend to always want to make the pin my landing target and with a 56 I drop it too far and then the ball rolls way past the cup for a long putt coming back.

around the green
Learn the lower flying shots that roll out - 8, 9, PW - and you’ll be amazed at how much closer your shots end up to the hole.
Take out the high margin of error associated with higher lofted clubs.

I’ve settled into 50, 54, 58. Use them all around the greens. But 54 gets used the most.

My short game is junk and needs lots of practice which I plan on this summer. Rather than complicate things too much I'm sticking with just a 56.
PW45 & GW50 on full swing approach shots. 7i or 8i bump and run on to open greens with room and 56 as an all around for green side bunkers and short side of the green stuff. Sticking with just a 56 as I don't need to complicate things more introducing a 58 or 60 to the party.
Actually, going back and forth on whether to use 54 or 56 at the bottom of the bag. Thinking a 56 would be more versatile but a 54 easier to hit.

I have a 54 that doesn’t dig on tight lies or avoids hitting it thin - I think it’s a Callaway with C grind - it’s my favorite

I have 53 & 58 in the bag. 58 is money from firm sand and tight lies.
I use the 53 when needing a little loft around the green but for pitches or chips I use anywhere from 8 iron to my 48 degree GW. If I just need to get over a small amount of fringe I use the 8 and let it roll out like a putt. Works well for me.

I stopped carrying anything above 56°.. There's very few shots I really need something higher lofted to begin with.. Currently using a Cleveland RTX 56° 75 yards and in.. Been able to save a few strokes by not dicking around with a 60°

I use the 60 if I’m really short side and have to carry a bunker.
The 55 is more versatile for me.
I carry 45,50,55,60.
So IF I was picking between carrying a 56 or 60, I would carry the 56.

PW44, GW50, 54, 58
I have no problem using a 7i or 8i if needed around the greens.

Around the green my 56 comes off high and floaty with no spin. My 60 comes off low with a ton of spin and checks up. They both have the same bounce. Makes no sense to me but I’ll never give up the 60

I've always used a 56* for anything 105 and in. I did buy a 60* a few weeks ago and really only plan to use it when I need to get over a tree or bunker. I get much more spin from it around the greens but from a tight lie I also have a much higher chance of blading it than I do with my 56*.

Was a 60. Now 56 mostly, but slowly shifting down to a 50. As I get older I use less lofted clubs around the greens. Low bounce because I have a steep swing.

I’ve had a 58* for around the greens and in bunkers for about a year and I love it.
