Why does Hollywood keep race swapping iconic white characters?

James Bond
Spiderman
Little Mermaid
Cinderella
Snow White
Superman (gay, but still white)
Etc.
Can they not simply create new characters that represent these groups they are wanting to pander to? Imagine making a new Fresh Prince of Bel Air starring some white kid? Or the Cosby Show with a white family? I think that would suck because the whole point of those shows were those families being black in those environments. Annie's most famous feature is red hair (the red headed orphan), James Bond is supposed to be an Englishman, it just doesn't make sense otherwise for these characters not to be white.
Are white people just simply not allowed having their own things without having to eventually get a woke washing?

Hollywood isn't going to fund much outside of proven IPs. So while that may be more ideal, money is the reason they won't create a new character within a new story.

Pop culture is a key institution for the Neo-Marxist to identity infiltrate and subvert. It was identified by the Frankfurt school in the 60s, I can’t remember by which one, likely adding it as a 6th to Gramscis five pillars of cultures when they coined the phrase “long March to the institutions.” They called it middle class culture and were focused on creating “middle class intellectuals” which is just their phrasing for anyone with a critical consciousness or by modern terms, woke.

Stunt casting is a fantastic substitute for creativity.
I mean, why go to the trouble (and concomitant risk and cost) of creating a black, brown, female and/or LGBTLMNOP+ character, when you can just co-op and subvert an already iconic character that does not possess these identity badges?

To pander to suburban liberal white women. That’s literally it.
Which is ironic because minorities and those that feel under-represented more often than not identify with and enjoy unique works that feature them. But suburban liberal white women are so egocentric, they think the only thing that matters is Cinderella, so there needs to be a black one.
At the end of the day, we should all just care about skin color less. It’s melanin. Who. Gives. A. frick.

Social justice virtue signaling as well as sending more work to minority actors.
This is also a result of Hollywood not doing original works. Everything these days are remakes or adaptations from another medium. Which means keeping things as is doesn’t allow for virtue signaling.
You can have Hamilton with an all black cast and be lauded but god forbid you make a MLK or Malcolm X work with white people in those roles.
Cheech and Chong used to joke about white casting a movie like the Jackson Five story with the Allman Brothers or Zorro with John Wayne. Now we would get Jussie Smollett as Abraham Lincoln.

Colorblind liberalism is literally something the new left HATES and wants to do away with. Probably because it’s an obvious contradiction to their terrible theology that people know works based on reality not the pseudo reality they have cooked up to grift for reparations and institutional power. I am all for putting the best actor you can in any role, but there are some roles that are just meant for a certain race. One thing that always takes me out of a historical movie is when they use the wrong race for a character.

Honestly you can tell off the bad how stupid some works are going to be based off their casting choices.
The Fantastic Four remake comes to mind where they had Michael B Jordan as Johnny Storm and had one of the Mara sisters as Sue Storm, who are brother and sister. Their solution to this was “Make their dad Morgan Freeman and say Sue is adopted.”
That was just the warning flag for the shite show within due to Josh Trank going batshit crazy and the studio desperately trying to salvage something.

Every fricking tv comercial now a days has every race you can think off except white people!
Also, was watching Valhalla Vikings on Netflix and the mother frickers made one worrier tribe not only all woman BUT the leader is a black woman!!

OK, I've got lots on this one.
I'd suggest starting with listening to Eric July. Eric is a black comic book guy that has done great work exposing what he labels "tokenization" in comics and ultimately other movies in general. This is a brief explanation of what it is and why he thinks it's happening.
Tokenism and Tokenization Explained
I'd then suggest watching this which gives a broader explanation for why we see all of these older IPs being destroyed by woke media companies by Carl Benjamin. I think he's 100% right. They are simply hijacking these known commodities to be able to use them as Trojan Horses to push their own social agendas without having to create anything new to do it. There is also, I'm sure, some glee taken by these people in destroying the things many of us once loved.
