Anyone make it out to the airshow this weekend?
I am sitting in my backyard in Cut Off, about 25 miles southwest of the air station and I can hear the roar of the engines or the sonic booms.

Yes I am here. No, there are no sonic booms.

Yeah, that’s kind of frowned upon over the lower 48, with a few exceptions

They’re setting up the No Fly Zone in New Orleans East.

My grandparents had a camp on Bundick Lake when I was a wee lad and I remember hearing sonic booms out there all the time. Not sure how they were getting away with it.

Watching from my back yard. Stunt planes this morning. Three F-18’s doing a chase while I was cutting the grass. Blue Angels later this afternoon.

A “demonstration” carpet bombing of NOLA should be on the program

I love the WWII warbird air show they have around November at Lakefront Airport. The drive to and from is a real adventure, too.

It is progressing.
My roof is getting changed next week. And then I will start on the inside work. I have been juggling work and did not have time to take care of my house as I liked.
I finally decided to get off my arse with the nice weather to clean out my front flower garden.
I have been cutting the grass and cleaning up other areas of my yard.

Went to the show today. Absolutely beautiful out there in perfect weather. The blue angels had some sort of malfunction with two of their planes and only performed with five today though. I’ve been to every air show out here my whole life and I’ve never seen that before

What time did the Angels fly? I gotta leave by 330.
Thx

Deadlined aircraft explains what I saw today….was wondering about why they were flying in a 3 plane v formation without the fourth to make the diamond…
From a personal point of view I was able to get out the back gate and go to my sisters house…. Some guy with a man bun gave me a dirty look when I avoided the barricades and turned down the street….really want grouchy old man, lowered my window told him I grew up on this street and I’m going to visit my sister….
