Best beach in Texas

For pure water color and sand. I know it’s not comparable to Florida beaches but let’s just take the lone star state and compare beaches here.
I would assume Corpus or Padre but are there any lesser known ones that you could make a case for?

I grew up in Corpus. South Padre and it’s not even close

Hard no. Galveston's beaches are awful. I assume you're talking about a fake beach on the bay side with Moody Gardens.
I remember several years ago all the news channels were raving about some rare phenomenon in the gulf that cause clear blue water to be in Galveston. Well I drove the 50'ish minutes down there to see for myself. It was still brown and nasty

If you’re willing to drive to South Padre then just drive to Florida.
