Mo' Crawfish in Mowata. Off the Crowley exit, down Hwy 13 north before you get to Eunice

I recall years ago someone mentioning a place off of the Rayne exit, but am not sure that this is the one. Thanks!

You can get to it also by taking back roads off the Rayne exit. But it's a straight shot on Hwy 13 Crowley exit, easier if you're not as familiar with the area.

Try a side dish of the crawfish etoufee...it's excellent

Also their big head-on boiled shrimp are fantastic. That isn’t my usual go to order at places like this but I tried it one time and it became my standard order there.

I don't know, but I can vouch for the awesomeness of their crawfish. They also boil the best shrimp I've ever eaten.

Cajun Claws in Rayne is about as close to being a drive-through on I-10 as you can get. I've only been there once and the crawfish were real good.

Google Map of how close to I-10 it is

LT's Boil House is a drive thru that is really good.

I'm not a fan of Cajun Claws in Duson (FYI it is not associated with the popular Cajun Claws in Abbeville, just ripped off the name).

Hawks is also very good and has a popup on Wednesday and Thursday night at Hideaway on Lee (downtown Lafayette).

Yeah, the Cajun Claws in Duson isn’t on the same level as the one in Abbeville. Idk how I’ve never heard of Heinens - definitely will give it a try when I pass through next month

I made my first visit to recommended crawfish places between BR and Lake Charles. Bought 10 pounds from C'est Bon on Good Friday. $5.99/LB. The crawfish overall had good size and were very well seasoned (a bit on the spicy side, but not too overwhelming). I also liked the consistency of the crawfish. I don't recall that any of the crawfish were overcooked.

It's a bit off of the beaten path if you're heading West (crossing the "single lane" bridge to get there was interesting). Was very impressed with C'est Bon's crawfish. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back there in the future (the overall menu looked rather appealing).

Richard’s in Abbeville. Only select crawfish. Well seasoned.

If driving to BR from the west you should take 190 and avoid the spillway and bridge. Take the “old bridge” and stop at Tony’s. They’ll be good and hot.

Definitely plan to try Hawks. I actually wanted to stop by on Good Friday, but they were not open at the time that I was passing through.

DI’s Cajun restaurant is another great option for seafood…. Only drawback, it’s located approx. 15 miles / 15 minutes north of Jennings , headed towards Basile. Solid groceries, it’s definitely off the beaten path. They’re open Tuesday thru Sunday, 5pm to 10pm

I used to work here during my high school years and still help on catering jobs which range the entire state and even into Texas. These folks are the best around, just a great family overall.

Thanks for the follow up, happy you enjoyed C'est Bon. I'd put their regular menu up against any cajun restaurant I've ever been to.
