You could have just said you’ve never been to a crawfish boil baw. Believe you me, you go to a real crawfish boil and we’ll change your mind.

The link you posted was for Tennessee. But both those locations would be pretty bad too.

I had a gf that paid $10 a pound in Lubbock Texas and told me they weren't good. I told her what the hell are you doing buying crawfish at a restaurant in Lubbock Texas? Of course they wouldn't be good.
Champy's in Muscle Shoals, AL had decent crawfish, but it used to be only on certain nights.

Crackpot theory. OP is actually a crawfish dealer and this is all a ploy for people to get people hankering to do crawfish boils this weekend and increase demand.

Now that I think of it, it’s going to be lovely weather this weekend. Not hot, not rainy.

A crawfish boil sounds awesome, even if it is pricey. But get some friends together and split the cost and it wouldn’t be too bad.

You comparing biscuits covered in roux to crawfish, mushrooms, green beans, onions, potatoes, corn , sausage, etc. Along with the crawfish omelette and hash browns the next morning. Huh, must be a redneck

Crawfish is too much work for too little reward. I've never understood the obsession.

BUT....it's not like they are fried chicken, prime rib, or a tender pot roast that has been simmering all day with taters, carrots, onions, and celery

Well that might be true for you it is not for me. Boiled crawfish is my favorite food to eat.

Tear the tail off, insert into mouth lightly between teeth press bottom of tail and gently pull out. Insert head, suck and crush simultaneously. Takes all of 5-6 seconds.

Remember, they're yankees. This concept is unlearnable to them. Give them their pot roast and potatoes. They can just shovel that into their gullets in mass quantities without thinking. And they don't even have to speak to each other while they eat. Just shovel and chew.

Add a dash of salt and pepper, and

Just ask someone who knows how to do it right to show you. My kids have been peeling and eating their own crawfish since they were 6.
