I'm not saying there is anything wrong with peeing. But if it was me, I'd pee on the strippers I bought on the bed the Obama's slept on in the presidential suite at the Ritz-Carlton. And then I'd pee on the maids who had to clean up the bed. And the bellboy.

I'd also figure out a way of making my urine into some powdery substance which I could use to blind my enemies. If I ruled Russia, let's just say that R. Kelly would definitely be on my 'wet' squad.

I've refrained from weighing in on this incident so far, mainly because there is a lot of FOW and bad information around it but after sifting through it for a day or so there are two main stories on the how that are likely:

1) AD shot it down.
Supporting this is the presence of nearby AD sites, claims of what looks like skyward bound missile contrails in one of the videos taken, and marks similar to those seen on other craft suffering interdiction by missile.

2) It was due to an explosive device onboard the plane.
Supporting this is the information the stewardess onboard the plane is meant to have sent her family about strange delays and work being done on the plane and claims by US intelligence that satellite imagery showed no evidence of missile launches.

The more pointed question, as either of these scenarios still points to outside agency, is who did it which is unlikely to be answered anytime soon, though the obvious answer given previous events is Russia.

The RT article is a fake unfortunately.

Lots of Russian channels are concerned about an impending big Ukrainian strike: LINK. There are reports of Ukraine amassing 50 armored vehicles for a big push to break the Russian 2nd defensive line near Verbove.

Ayden says that this is it.

Roughly 80 Ukrainian vehicles are advancing in the Robotyne direction right now. Looks like the “big” push has begun.

Dmitry Rogozin:
"At these minutes there is a powerful attack on the Rabotino settlement. 83 units of Western armoured vehicles and a huge number of personnel are moving to attack.

A powerful battle has begun. We pray for the guys"

Ukrainian journalist Butusov reports that the S-400 in Crimea was destroyed yesterday by a modified Neptune missile, the same missile that sunk the Moskva in the Black Sea in April 2022

Background from an article from April of this year...

According to a Ukrainian official: “Ukraine is working to modify Neptune missile to strike land targets…A new guiding/homing system is required, but Ukrainians are working on that…Once we get that, the Neptunes can hit targets 360 km (about 225 miles) away. We are pretty close.”

Didn’t you say that Robotyne was taken by the Ukrainians 3 or 4 days ago?

The AFU appears to be staging a mechanized package to assault the Russian line near Verbove. They’ve been probing this area with small infantry units and are aiming to wedge open a gap in the line between Verbove and Robotyne.

They’re going to attempt something like this - scribbling on

If I were the Russians I’d let those 80 vics push 5-7 miles into a pocket and then fire a bunch of artillery delivered mines behind them. Then let the helicopters and artillery go to work on the trapped Ukrainians.

It was taken earlier this week. According to reports on X, Ukraine started using shelling Tokmak from Robotyne today. They started out with a rocket attack which took out a command center and reports are saying that they used Krab artillery to take out a massive supply base. Lots of big explosions on the X right now.

Per X (aka twatter) a bunch of their artillery just got fitted with new barrels over the last month. Ukraine is currently celebrating its independence day by laying down big time artillery barrages on the Russians. So the Russian artillery is keeping its head down.

The battle that just started in the Robotyne area (to the east and southeast of it, I think) could be decisive. I don't think that there's been a battle this big since the first day of the Ukrainian offensive in that area.

If this battle goes the same way that the June battle did, then the Ukrainian offensive will likely sputter to a halt for the fall, having advanced little.

On the other hand, if Ukraine is able to break through the Russian 2nd line in force, then Russia might not even be able to retreat and effectively man the 3rd line of defense -- and Russia would then have nothing to stop Ukrainian troops from driving to the Sea of Azov in the space of a few days.

Plenty of outcomes in between those extremes, of course, are also possible.

Makes sense given their airpower advantage and would be an efficient tactic to destroy a significant portion of equipment and manpower.

The danger would be if your forces doing containment on the flanks get overwhelmed as Ukraine tries to breakout, the breach gets widened.

We will have to see how this develops, Russia obviously has eyes on it.

Yes. It was. This just means that the big attack is happening in that area.
