Oregon is two different states. The Cascade mountain range makes a great buffer. East of the Cascades probably has as many Baws per capita as any other spot in the country. West of the Cascades is what most people think of, when they think of Oregon....even though, geographically, it's only about 1/3 of the state.

It would be pretty cool to nail the mayor's wife and then be able to be like "I did the mayor's wife".

Plus she's pretty good looking.

West of the Cascades is where the majority of the population live.

Saying that, I do some business with a company in Medford and they certainly don't think like Portland residents.

I can't think of Medford without thinking of Micro-Trains.

It's not even a "west of the Cascades" thing. Things turn conservative fast as soon as you get outside of Portland metro, Salem, Albany/Corvallis, and Eugene.

Medford and Grant's Pass are probably the most Conservative cities in that part of the state. They're also cool looking towns and both have In n Outs, I think. Only about 3 of them in the entire state.

Besides Ashland, that whole area starting a bit south of Eugene from the Cascades to the Coast are mostly like minded folks.

The major cities and some other Cities in a few counties dominate the vote.

At the same time there are a lot baws throughout those counties and surrounding counties.

That's true. I always forget about Medford and Grant's pass. Even the weather is totally different in the two regions.

People think of Oregon as a state that gets a lot of rain, but we hardly ever get any rain in Bend. I actually started missing it a little bit, the first couple of years I was out here.

What does that even mean? Does it mean he likes to watch non-heterosexual activity?

I took it to mean that he's speaking for himself and not his wife.
