Shaw has hit rock bottom, only winning one district game in 5 years. Only one man can turn it around…

Still wish they could’ve stayed in the Catholic League.

if the enrollment wouldnt be so low maybe they could have. Gotta keep the west bank kids from going to school on the east bank.

Man, Shaw was a god damn power when I was in high school. I went to EDW, but Thibodaux High staged a comeback for the ages against Shaw in a game in 89 I think.

Shaw routinely sent kids to play football for LSU. If Hank and the new staff can keep the WB kids from Curtis, DLS, Rummel, etc. then it will be a very quick turnaround.

I played in 2 state championships in a 3 year span when I was in high school. The largest classification was 4A back then. We played Shaw in the dome in 1988. I think Hank Tierney was their coach then. In 86 we played Slidell and that game went to OT. I live out of state because of my job and don’t know who are the powerhouses now but in my era Shaw always had a good team. Slidell was there. Brother Martin was tough too.

West Monroe kind of monopolized the 90s when it should have been Shaw’s time

Will have them winning in 2 years, enrollment back up significantly in 3 years, and east bank teams and Karr & Landry's would-be future rosters will pay the price.

lots of folks at that conference hadn't been "involved" at shaw in a long time. looks like those old wounds are healed
